Q&A Rulings
- Q: My "Gouki Heel Ogre" is in the Extra Monster Zone, and my opponent's "Lonefire Blossom" is in the zone it points to. If my opponent activates the effect of that "Lonefire Blossom" by Tributing it, can I chain the effect of "Gouki Heel Ogre"?
- A: As in this scenario, even if a monster that "Gouki Heel Ogre" points to Tributes itself to activate its effect, you can chain the effect of "Gouki Heel Ogre". In that case, the activation of that effect is negated, but since "Lonefire Blossom" cannot be destroyed after it was Tributed, you cannot Special Summon a "Gouki" monster from your Graveyard with the effect of "Gouki Heel Ogre".[1]
