Q&A Rulings

  • Q: If multiple copies of "Grandsoil the Elemental Lord" leave the field at the same time, what happens to the effect that skips your next Battle Phase?
A: If multiple copies of "Grandsoil the Elemental Lord", "Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord", "Pyrorex the Elemental Lord" or "Windrose the Elemental Lord" leave the field at the same time (such as by being destroyed by "Dark Hole"), only the Battle Phase of your next turn is skipped.[7]
  • Q: If "Grandsoil the Elemental Lord" is destroyed on your opponent's field, what happens to the effect that skips your next Battle Phase?
A: If a "Grandsoil the Elemental Lord", "Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord", "Pyrorex the Elemental Lord" or "Windrose the Elemental Lord" that you own is destroyed by the effect of "Ring of Destruction" after its control was changed to your opponent by the effect of "Creature Swap", the effect "If this face-up card leaves the field, skip the Battle Phase of your next turn" is applied to the player that controlled it at that time. (In this case, the Battle Phase of your opponent's next turn is skipped.)[8]
  • Q: If "Grandsoil the Elemental Lord" is returned to the Deck by the effect of "Raiza the Storm Monarch", what happens to the effect that skips your next Battle Phase?
A: Even if "Grandsoil the Elemental Lord", "Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord", "Pyrorex the Elemental Lord" or "Windrose the Elemental Lord" is returned to the Deck by the effect of "Raiza the Storm Monarch", the effect "If this face-up card leaves the field, skip the Battle Phase of your next turn" is still applied.[9]
A: Even if "Grandsoil the Elemental Lord", etc. leaves the field while its effects are negated by "Skill Drain", the effect that skips the Battle Phase of your next turn applies.[10]
A: In this scenario, "Grandsoil the Elemental Lord" is banished face-down by the effect of "Eater of Millions", but is still face-up when it is banished from the field. In this case, the effect that skips the Battle Phase of your next turn applies.[11]
