• Use "Obedience Schooled" to Special Summon Level 2 Beast-Type monsters from your Deck.
  • Additionally, summon "Tree Otter", a WATER monster, so it can't be destroyed by battle.

• Use the effect of "Nimble Angler" to Special Summon 2 Level 2 "Nimble" monsters from your Deck, such as "Nimble Sunfish" and "Nimble Manta".

• Multiple copies of "Ronintoadin" can easily summon this card.

• Normal Summon "Deep Sea Diva" and use its effect to Special Summon a Level 2 Sea Serpent-Type monster from your Deck.
  • Summon "Atlantean Heavy Infantry", so that when your activate the effect of "Cat Shark" you can use the effect of "Heavy Infantry" to destroy a face-up card your opponent controls.
  • If you have 3 or more Level 3 or lower Sea Serpent-Type monsters in your Graveyard, you can use "Call of the Atlanteans" to Special Summon them back.

• After using this card's effect, Xyz Change into "Downerd Magician".

• There are various Rank 4 or lower Xyz Monsters that can explore this card's potential:
  • "Daigusto Phoenix" has 1500 ATK and can attack twice, being able to inflict up to 6000 damage in a single Battle Phase.
  • "Gagaga Samurai has 1900 ATK and can also attack twice, for 7600 damage. On an empty field, alongside "Cat Shark", this achieves an One Turn Kill
  • "Number 47: Nightmare Shark" and "Number 82: Heartlandraco" have 2000 ATK and can attack directly.
