** Adding "Appropriate" to this combo can severely limit your opponent's usage of this card. If your opponent chooses the first effect(Draw 1 card), you will draw 2 cards afterwards. They also wont be able to choose the second effect(Destroy this card), since your protection card will save it. The opponent will also be reluctant to choose this card's third effect, since you will gain another 1000 LP.

* After placing an important card on top of your Deck with "A Feather of the Phoenix", use this card's first effect to draw it.

* After using this card's first effect, activate "Hope for Escape" to draw more cards.

* This card is an alternative for "Oracle King d'Arc" when there is a "Dark Contract" cards face-up on your field, provided this card is not destroyed at your opponent's Main Phase.

* Since this card requires paying LP for its effect (and can allow its user to draw a card), it can work well in a Deck that uses "Hope for Escape".

* This card works best when used in a Deck that can also utilize other Field Spell Cards (along with "Terraforming"), so that this card's effect can be used and quickly replace it with another Field Spell to prevent your opponent from gaining this card's benefits.

* This card can potentially be useful in a "D/D" Deck during its user's Standby Phase, preventing damage being taken from "Dark Contract" cards, but only if their LP is lower than their opponent's and assuming it isn't destroyed during the opponent's turn.
** This card can also be used either to replace/as substitute for "Upstart Goblin", or using both for more Deck-thinning capability.

 • Since this card requires paying LP for its effect (and can allow its user to draw a card), it can work well in a Deck that uses "Hope for Escape".
 • This card can potentially be useful in a "D/D" Deck during its user's Standby Phase, preventing damage being taken from "Dark Contract" cards, but only if their LP is lower than their opponent's and assuming it isn't destroyed during the opponent's turn.
 • This card works well in Decks that use a different Field Spell Card (alongside cards that can search for Field Spells, such as "Metaverse" and "Terraforming"), specifically in scenarios where that different Field Spell is already in the hand alongside one of the searching cards (e.g. "Metaverse", "Terraforming"); the 'useless' searching card can be used to add "Chicken Game" to the hand, so that it can be activated first to draw a card, before replacing it with the other Field Spell Card - preventing the opponent from using the effect of "Chicken Game".
 • This card works well with "Pseudo Space", especially since that Field Spell's effect expires during the End Phase, thereby preventing the opponent from also using its gained "Chicken Game" effect.
 • This card works well with "Upstart Goblin", both in terms of adding more draw power and keeping one's LP lower than the opponent's.
