  • This card can work well in a "Tearlaments" Deck, since that Deck focuses on milling to trigger its cards' effects, and because the status of "Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise" as an Aqua-Type monster can be useful for the Deck's Fusion Summons that often require an Aqua-Type monster as material. Furthermore, since "Tearlaments" monsters' Fusion Summoning effects work by shuffling monsters into the Deck, this can be useful for returning "Emerald Tortoise" to the Deck if it left the Deck before this Trap's effect could be used.
  • If this card is used in a non-"Crystal Beast" Deck for its Field Spell-searching effect, in general, "Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle" is the best "Crystal Beast" monster to use with this card, since it has an effect that can return itself to the Deck if drawn (but only if it's Summoned first).
  • This card can be useful in "Malefic" Decks, since it has multiple monsters that are Level 10 or higher, and also heavily relies on having an active Field Spell. However, since most of their monsters have effects that only allow 1 "Malefic" monster on the field at a time, either a different out-of-theme monster will be needed, or "Malefic Territory" will be necessary.
    • This card can possibly be used in "Timelord" Decks, since their monsters are all Level 10, although it can be difficult controlling more than 1 "Timelord" monster at a time and the Deck doesn't have any themed Field Spells.
  • The following cards can help meet this card's activation condition:
    • "Astral Kuriboh", a Level 1 monster that can Special Summon itself from the hand as a Level 10 or higher monster by revealing a "Number" Xyz Monster in the Extra Deck with a matching Rank.
    • "Battle Waltz" is a Spell Card that can Special Summon a "Waltz Token" with the same Level as a Synchro Monster its user controls.
    • "Eldlich the Golden Lord" is a Level 10 monster with an effect that can discard itself and 1 Spell/Trap to send one card on the field to the Graveyard, with another effect that can send 1 Spell/Trap from its user's field to the Graveyard to add itself from the Graveyard to the hand and subsequently Special Summon itself.
    • "Fusion Armament" is a Normal Spell that can Special Summon a listed Fusion Material from the Extra Deck or Graveyard, which currently includes valid Level 10 and 12 monsters, but no valid Level 11 monsters. Additionally, the Summoned monster cannot attack and its effects are negated, until the end of the opponent's next turn after activation.
    • "Guardian Slime" and "Tragoedia" are Level 10 monsters that can Special Summon themselves from the hand in response to their user taking battle damage.
    • "Icejade Kosmochlor" is a Level 10 monster that can Special Summon itself from the hand if there is a face-up Field Spell on the field.
    • "Jizukiru, the Star Destroying Kaiju", a Level 10 monster that can be Special Summoned from the hand to the opponent's field by Tributing one of their monsters.
    • "Lord of the Heavenly Prison", a Level 10 monster that can not only Special Summon itself from the hand when a Set Spell/Trap Card is activated, but can also Set this card directly from the Deck.
    • "Metal Reflect Slime" is a Continuous Trap Card that can Special Summon itself as a Level 10 monster.
    • "Smoke Mosquito" is a Level 1 monster with an effect that can change its Level to become the Level of another monster its controller controls, with another effect that can Special Summon itself from the hand when its user would take battle damage.
    • "Xyz Align", a Quick-Play Spell that can target 1 monster its user controls and 1 other monster on the field, making them both become any declared Level from 1-12.
