- If this card is used correctly, it could result in a possible One Turn Kill for your opponent. Also, since its Burn effects do not require attacking, cards that negate attacks or activate only when your monster attacks will be virtually useless for your opponent.
- For an easy Synchro Summon, Summon "Magical Exemplar" and use "Foolish Burial" to send "Night's End Sorcerer" (or "Frequency Magician") to the Graveyard and have "Magical Exemplar" gain two Spell Counters. Then Special Summon "Night's End Sorcerer" with "Magical Exemplar"'s effect and Synchro Summon "Tempest Magician".
- This card's first effect can be used to put Counters on cards that don't gain Spell Counters normally, like "Breaker the Magical Warrior", "Frequency Magician", "Arcanite Magician", etc.
- Discard "Ojamagic" and the "Ojama"s to the Graveyard to add Spell Counters to other cards, or deal massive damage to your opponent's Life Points.
- This card has good synergy with "Pitch-Black Power Stone" as the Spell Counters it provides increases the damage of "Tempest Magician"'s 3rd effect by 1500 points. And you don't even have to move them from the Trap Card.
- Use "Magical Plant Mandragola". Among other things, this will increase the damage dealt by "Tempest Magician"'s effect by 500x the number of cards on the field that can hold Spell Counters.
- This card works well with "Forced Requisition", devastating your opponent's hand as you gain counters. If you also have "Magical Thorn" out, your damage output is almost doubled.
- Combine this card with "Magical Citadel of Endymion" to inflict serious damage to the opponent.
- You are not limited to only your spell counters, you can use your opponent's as well. This is particularly useful against an opponent using "Magical Citadel of Endymion".
- This card works well with the Structure Deck: Spellcaster's Command.
- This card works well in a Diva-Synchro-Deck using Gravekeeper's Spy and Gravekeeper's Guard as Non-tuners.
