- Note that, with the advent of Master Rules 4 and the release of Link monsters, this card's effect became extremely limited in use, as the Dragon monster Summoned by it must be placed in an Extra Monster Zone or in a Main Monster Zone a Link Monster points to.
Summoning
- Cards like "Level Lifter", "Resonance Device" and "Tannhauser Gate" can be used to enable this card's Special Summon.
- "Galaxy Queen's Light" can be used to make the Tuner and the non-Tuner become the same Level.
- Even though "Gagaga Magician" cannot be used as a Synchro Material, it can still be used to Special Summon this card after changing its own Level, as its Special Summon is not a proper Synchro Summon.
- This card can be quickly Special Summoned by combining "Quickdraw Synchron" or "Sea Monster of Theseus" with a Level 5 non-Tuner monster that is also easy to Summon, such as "Cyber Dragon" or "Solar Wind Jammer".
- In a "Hieratic" Deck, this card can be Special Summoned by using a "Hieratic Dragon of Su" and "Labradorite Dragon", which in turn can be easily Special Summoned by the effect of the "Hieratic" monster that was Tributed for the Special Summon of "Su".
- It can also be Special Summoned using "Hieratic Dragon of Eset" or "Hieratic Dragon of Nebthet" with "Sea Monster of Theseus" (Special Summoned via "Instant Fusion").
- In a "The Agent"/"Artifact" Deck, this card can be Summoned by using "The Agent of Death - Uranus" as the Tuner and an "Artifact" monster.
- This card can be Special Summoned in a "T.G." Deck by using "T.G. Hyper Librarian" and "T.G. Wonder Magician".
- This card can be Special Summoned in an "Infernoid" Deck by Summoning "Infernoid Decatron" and then using its effect to send a Level 4-7 "Infernoid" monster from the Deck to the Graveyard. Then, after Special Summoning an "Infernoid" monster whose Level matches the Level of "Decatron", this card can be Special Summoned.
- In a "Blue-Eyes" Deck, this card can be Special Summoned by using "Maiden with Eyes of Blue", whose Level has been increased by "Level Lifter" or "Dragard", and a "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" Special Summoned by its effect.
- In a "Cyber Dragon" deck, this card can be Special Summoned using "Cyber Dragon" and a "Sea Monster of Theseus" Special Summoned via "Instant Fusion".
- After Special Summoning "Sea Monster of Theseus" with the effect of "Instant Fusion", Tribute it to Tribute Summon "Salvage Warrior", and use its effect to Special Summon "Sea Monster of Theseus" from your Graveyard. Then, send both monsters to the Graveyard to Special Summon this card.
- The effect of "Box of Friends" can be used to Summon "Labradorite Dragon" and "PSY-Frame Driver"; as this card's Special Summon is not a Synchro Summon, they will not be affected by the restriction "Box of Friends" places on them.
General Tips
- This card can activate its effect during the opponent's turn if combined with Trap Cards that are capable of setting themselves or another cards to the field, such as "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow", "Dust Tornado" and "Lost Wind".
- This card can be combined with "Toadally Awesome", in order to Special Summon a monster after it has negated a Spell/Trap Card and set it into its owner's side of the field.
Traditional Format/OCG
- In a "Yang Zing" Deck:
- Normal Summon "Jiaotu" and use its effect to Special Summon "Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing" and "Chiwen, Light of the Yang Zing".
- Synchro Summon "Yazi, Evil of the Yang Zing" and use its effect, by targeting itself.
- Use the second effect of "Yazi" Special Summon "Mare Mare", and activate the effect of "Chiwen" in the Graveyard, Special Summoning itself.
- Special Summon 2 Tokens with the effect of "Mare Mare".
- Link Summon "Crystron Needlefiber" by using "Jiaotu" and a Token and use its effect to Special Summon a second "Chiwen".
- Special Summon a third "Mini Mare Mare Token".
- Synchro Summon "Denglong, First of the Yang Zing", using "Mare Mare" and one Token; use the effect of "Denglong" to search a "Yang Zing" Spell/Trap, preferably "Nine Pillars of Yang Zing".
- Use the second effect of "Denglong" to send a second "Mare Mare" to the graveyard.
- Synchro Summon "Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing", by using "Denglong" and the remaining Token.
- Use the last effect of "Denglong" to Special Summon any non-Tuner, non-Pendulum "Yang Zing" monster.
- Use the effect of "Baxia" to destroy the newly Summoned "Yang Zing" and Special Summon "Jiaotu".
- Use the effect of the destroyed "Yang Zing" to Special Summon a second "Zefraniu".
- Synchro Summon "Power Tool Dragon" with "Chiwen" and "Zefraniu".
- Synchro Summon "Life Stream Dragon" with the second "Chiwen" and "Power Tool Dragon".
- Special Summon this card with "Life Stream" and "Baxia".
- Set the Spell/Trap searched by "Denglong", triggering this card's effect.
