• Like "Orca Mega-Fortress of Darkness", the fact that this monster is a Sea Serpent is unusual. Whales don't have any snake-like characteristics and are, in fact, mammals.

• This is one of the only four non-WATER Sea Serpent-Type monsters in OCG/TCG. The others are "Kaiser Sea Horse", "Sky Oni-Eating Ray", and "Spearfish Soldier".
  • There is also another non-WATER anime-only Sea Serpent-Type monster, "Nordic Wicked Dragon Jörmungandr".

• This monster's appearance is similar to "Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua".

• This card, "Fly-Fang", and "Sky Oni-Eating Ray" share a common effect to remove themselves until your next Standby Phase.
  • Also, they're all Level 3 WIND-Attribute monsters.
