• Like "Orca Mega-Fortress of Darkness", the fact that this monster is a Sea Serpent is unusual. Whales don't have any snake-like characteristics and are, in fact, mammals.

• This is one of the only six non-WATER Sea Serpent-Type monsters in OCG/TCG. The others are "Kaiser Sea Horse" (LIGHT), "Lightray Daedalus" (LIGHT), "Skystarray" (WIND), "Lavalval Chain" (FIRE), and "Spearfish Soldier" (WIND).
  • The anime-only "Nordic Wicked Dragon Jörmungandr"(DARK) may also be Sea Serpent-Type.

• This monster's appearance is similar to "Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua".

• This card, "Flyfang", and "Skystarray" share an effect that banishes them until the player's next Standby Phase.
  • Also, they're all Level 3 WIND-Attribute monsters.
