- This monster has 3 counterparts in the form of "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon", "Clear Wing Synchro Dragon" and "Starve Venom Fusion Dragon". Given that they share similar designs, a naming scheme and the same Type, ATK and DEF. In addition, they each have their secondary monster type in their names (Pendulum, Xyz, Synchro and Fusion).
- The orbs on its wings that start to glow before it attacks are similar to the ones on "Odd-Eyes" that do the same thing.
- In the anime, the signature users of all three monsters, Yugo, Yuto and Yuya Sakaki, also share very similar designs, such that they were mistaken for each other.
- This monster's roar is the same as that of "Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon", just as how "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" reuses the roar of "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" and "Clear Wing Synchro Dragon" reuses the roars of "Number 99: Utopic Dragon".
- This card shares a hybrid evolution with "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" in "Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon".
- This card is the first Xyz Monster to be used in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime.
- It also becomes the first Xyz Monster to be used and Summoned by Yuya Sakaki, the series' main character.
- This card is the Cover Card for The New Challengers.
- This is the only monster of the "Four Dimension Dragons" to not have a silhouette before it's revealed.
- The silhouette of "Dark Rebellion" is also the clearest of the 4.
- This card, bears a great resemblance to Zekrom, the mascot of Pokemon White Version. They are both dark dragons (although Zekrom is not a Dark-type itself it is based over Yang and it has a dark coloration) with lightning-based powers. Another similarity is that both of their attacks involve rushing the opponent with part of their body cloaked in electricity.
