- This card's TCG name is derived from the Venus flytrap, a carnivorous plant native to subtropical wetlands on the East Coast of the United States in North Carolina and South Carolina. The plant is infamous because it catches its prey with a trapping structure formed by the terminal portion of each of the plant's leaves, which is triggered by tiny hairs on their inner surfaces.
- This card's OCG name, "Fly Hell" may be derived from the Heliamphora, a carnivorous plant more commonly known as "Heli".
- This monster appears in the artwork of "Predaponics", "Predaplanet", and "Predaplast".
