- Sophia (Σοφία) is the Greek word for wisdom.
- This card is based on the Aeon Sophia in Gnostic Mythology.
- This card is featured in the artwork of "Break the Cycle".
- The German lore of "Sophia, Goddess of Rebirth" has a big mistake: instead of Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 face-up Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Monster from anywhere on the field, (...), it's printed Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 face-up Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Monster from anywhere on the field, (...) which would it make ridiculously easy to Summon "Sophia, Goddess of Rebirth".
- The Special Summoning Conditions of this card are referring to the powers of the "Gishki" (Ritual Monster), "Gem-Knight" (Fusion Monster), "Gusto", "Vylon", and "Laval" (Synchro Monster), "Steelswarm", "lswarm" and "Constellar" (Xyz Monster).
