- This monster's name is based on Conium maculatum, a highly poison floeering plant that is commonly know as "hemlock" or the "spotted corobane", which appears as the symbols on the corners of this card's artwork.
- This monster's Japanese name (キャロベイン, Kyarobein) is a portmanteau of the words "corobane" (ころばね, Korobane) and "carol" (キャロル, Kyaroru), where the latter reflects this monster's Christmas-themed appearance.
- Fittingly, this card was announced in December 2017 as the promotional card for the February 2018 edition of V Jump.
