Dartz

Dartz is the main antagonist from the 4th season of Yu-Gi-Oh!, named "Waking the Dragons" by 4kids. He was the king of the legendary city of Atlantis when the orichalcos was discovered 10,000 years in the anime's past. The orichalcos allowed Atlantis to progress technologically, however it also began to mutate people into monsters. Dartz' own wife was such a victim. The orichalcos has convinced Dartz that the mutations were a result of the peoples' own inner evil being brought to the surface and that humanity must be cleansed for the world to become a paradise. To this end, he was granted the Great Leviathan and armies of Orichalcos Soldiers. This prompted a war between Dartz and his father Ironheart and his daughter Criss, a war that Dartz lost and caused the Great Beast to be sealed away in the world of the duel monsters. Down but not out, Dartz was granted immortality by the orichalcos and was finnally able to pick up the pieces leading up to the events of Waking the Dragons.
