The different Monster Cards nonetheless depict the swordsman with different physical frames, styles of ornamentation on his clothes, and wielding his weapon in different ways. A common trait amongst most of the members is that their head gear covers their eyes, based on the anime depiction of the original "Flame Swordsman". Beyond the original "Flame Swordsman", the only ones lacking this trait are "Ferocious Flame Swordsman" and "Fighting Flame Swordsman".

With this, the theme's playing style heavily supports summoning "Ultimate Flame Swordsman" and loading it with Equip Cards to immediately OTK the opponent
With the support revolving around FIRE Warrior monsters, the deck is able to benefit from the inclusion of several different tech cards as well as themes to include; such as the "Infernoble Knight" archetype to list an example.
