"Gimmick Puppet" (ギミック・パペット Gimmikku Papetto) is an archetype of mechanical toy-like monsters that are used by IV in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime. They are a sub-archetype of the "Puppet" archetype. The monsters and associated cards seem to be geared toward Summoning their ace monsters, "Number 15: Gimmick Puppet - Giant Killer" and "Number 40: Gimmick Puppet - Heaven's Strings.
Gimmick puppets don't have strong attack points (with the exclusion of Gimmick Puppet - Bomb Egg who has some decent attack points). So their main stratergy is to get their opponent to summon some strong monsters while the gimmick puppets build up their tactics. When they think it's the right time, they use a technique to summon Number 40: Gimmick Puppet - Heaven's Strings and end the duel with their victory with it's effect.
