"Gimmick Puppet" (ギミック・パペット Gimmikku Papetto) is an archetype of mechanical toy-like monsters that are used by IV in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime. They are a sub-archetype of the "Puppet" archetype. The monsters and associated cards seem to be geared toward Summoning their ace monsters, "Number 15: Gimmick Puppet - Giant Killer" and "Number 40: Gimmick Puppet - Heaven's Strings.
So far, the only monsters released from this archetype are only the Numbers.
Gimmick Puppets don't have high ATK (except "Gimmick Puppet - Bomb Egg"), but have effects ranging from stalling, swarming and Summoning monsters to the opponent's side of the field. Their main strategy seems to be taking advantage of the opponent's monsters with high ATK to deal Effect Damage with their ace monsters, "Number 40: Gimmick Puppet - Heaven's Strings" and "Number 15: Gimmick Puppet - Giant Killer".
