The general mechanic of this archetype seems to be based around the effects of the Main Deck monster "Infinitrack Rock Anchor" to Special Summon an EARTH Machine monster from your hand and combining their Levels together to form the needed levels to Xyz Summon the archetypal Xyz Monsters alongside other high Rank Xyz Monsters. The Link Monsters of this archetype are also a resource for the Xyz Monster in order to use their third effect to revive from the GY with a new material and, in some cases, give these Machine Xyz Monsters benefits, as shown by the effect of "Infinitrack Goliath" that lets it become a material that gives Machine Xyz monsters effect destruction immunity.

Infinitracks focus on quickly Summoning EARTH Machine monsters in order to perform high-Rank Xyz Summons.  Most Main Deck Infinitracks are Level 5, and can Special Summon themselves from the hand by Tributing an EARTH Machine monster, which in turn allows them to banish themselves from the GY for additional effects. The two non-Level 5 Main Deck Infinitracks both change the Levels of themselves and another Machine to their total Levels (7 for "Harvester", 9 for "Rock Anchor"), giving them access to stronger Xyz Monsters more easily.

Currently, all Xyz Monsters of this archetype have the shared effect of being able to equip monsters they destroy in battle as material to be used for their own effects alongside being able to tribute a Machine Link monster you control to Special Summon themselves in Defense Position from the GY.

As such, the Link Monsters of this archetype serve as further support for the Xyz Monsters, particularly "Infinitrack Goliath", as it can immediately attach itself to any Xyz as a material if sent to the GY and gives immunity to effect destruction if attached to a Machine.
