Kaito uses a Photon/LIGHT Deck, focused around Swarm and Beatdown tactics, centred around his ace, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon and the "Number" series. His deck also appears to be focused on disrupting the opponents current strategy, making them have to come up with an entirely new one. According to Mr. Heartland, Kaito's Deck was made by him and Dr. Faker by using science from another dimension.[1]

Collected Numbers
Prior to his first Duel with Yuma, he had already collected eleven "Number" cards[2] As yet, it is unknown how many "Numbers" he possesses exactly, but after the mentioned Duel he was shown earning three more of them.[3][4] Only four "Numbers" are known by name and it's unknown if he includes all collected "Numbers" in his Extra Deck.

In the manga, Kaito uses a Photon/LIGHT Deck. Like his anime counterpart's, it is focused around Swarm tactics in order to summon bigger monsters such as "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" and "Photon Wyvern".
