Nuke

Nuke is a fan-term used to describe the action of a card effect with the power to destroy every card on the field at once.

The first card released with this kind of effect was "Final Destiny", with an extremely high activation cost. Other cards with this effect are "Black Rose Dragon", "Evilswarm Exciton Knight" and "Judgment Dragon".

Cards effects that can destroy multiple cards on the field at once, but not necessarily all of them, such as "Icarus Attack", "Raigeki" and "Heavy Storm", are not referred to as "nukes".

Hand nuke

The derivative term "hand nuke" is used to describe card effects that have the power to send every card in both players' hands to the Graveyard; such effects are very rare and are usually "field nukes" as well. Some such cards are "Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End", "Sky Scourge Norleras" and "Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus".
