Ponta, one of the Number Guardians
The Number Guardians, known as the Numbers Guardians (ナンバーズのガーディアン Nanbāzu no Gādian) in the Japanese version, are the spirits of the "Mythyrian Number" cards in the Number ruins in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime. They are assigned with the duty of protecting these "Number" cards.
In order for a Duelist to obtain the Mythyrian Number card, they must Duel against the card's guardian to determine if they are worthy of wielding it. After a guardian is defeated, they usually disappear. They are also related to the Legendary Figures or the cards themselves.
