Biography[edit]

Birth of Rush Duels[edit]

Ricky and Katz greeted Yuga at school one day, and Ricky was shocked to notice five penalties on Yuga's Duel Disk. As Yuga tried to explain they were like the medals of a challenger, Gavin Sogetsu zoomed over and began admonishing Yuga for his penalties, but was shocked when Yuga revealed he had opened the Duel Disk to install new rules. Ricky and Katz watched as Yuga explained his intentions to Gavin, cheering when he used his "Road" catchphrase, though they were interrupted by class starting. After school that day, Ricky tried to trade cards with Katz, but they were prohibited from doing so un-supervised by a Goha Enterprises Drone. Ricky asked Yuga to Duel, but Yuga declined, as he had work to do.[2]

The next day, Yuga told Ricky and Katz about Rush Dueling, the new rules he had managed to install, though before he could say more he was dragged under the desk by Lucidien "Luke" Kallister, who didn't want word of Rush Dueling to be spread. Romin Kassidy suggested Yuga and Luke settle the matter with a Rush Duel, and Ricky and Katz eagerly watched the Duel, with Gavin explaining the rules. Before the Duel, Ricky tried to film it, but his smartphone mysteriously deactivated due to Luke's strange power. Ricky was enamored by the speed of the Rush Duel, and he took note of the damage Yuga would be able to inflict to Luke. However, Yuga failed to defeat Luke, who defeated him with "Multistrike Dragon Dragias". Ricky was initially worried for Yuga, but had enjoyed the Rush Duel. Yuga then revealed he had livestreamed the Rush Duel with a modified Drone, and Riku joined his fellow students in looking the Duel up on the internet before returning to class.[3]

Rino Nanahoshi called Ricky asking for any information on Yuga's "Sevens Road Magician", though Ricky didn't know much about the card and suggested it was a super rare card.[4]

Maximum[edit]

Ricky and Katz watched Yuga's Duel with Nail Saionji atop the Goha Enterprises Main Office, during which Nail declared his intention to crush Rush Dueling. Hearing this, Ricky passionately declared himself a fan of Rush Dueling and was judged by a Goha Enterprises Drone to be part of Yuga's group, receiving five penalties on his Duel Disk, and would receive a sixth if Yuga lost. He cheered Yuga on as he Maximum Summoned "Supreme Machine Magnum Overlord" again to defeat Nail, and the penalties on his Duel Disk were erased after the Duel.[5]

Team Battle Royal[edit]

Ricky was present when new student teacher Gwendoline Purdy introduced herself to his, Katz, Yuga, Romin and Mimi's class.[6]

Ricky, Katz and another girl in their class entered the Goha Rush Duel Team Battle Royal as a team, but their team lost seven times and were eliminated from the tournament on the first day.[7]

Goha 6 Siblings[edit]

After the Goha Rush Duel Team Battle Royal, Ricky and Katz were walking to school talking about the robot that had appeared on the moon at the end of the tournament. Yuga arrived and explained it was the Super Rush Robot, much to their interest. Ricky discussed how Rush Dueling had nearly been destroyed during the tournament and admitted it had made him love Rush Dueling even more, so Yuga suggested they Rush Duel, but they were told off by Rino and Rayne Nanahoshi for trying to Rush Duel on the way to school.[8]
