Call of the Haunted

Question: If I tune a monster which was taken back by the effect of Call of the Haunted what happens? Does call stay on the feild having the craic or does it get destroyed? 85.31.137.11 12:55, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

Tuner

It says that it is only necessary to have one tuner, but that is true! You can only have ONE tuner in a synchro summon. It says on all synchro cards 1 tuner monster and 1 or more NON-tuner monster. that means if you have 3 or more monsters you are tuning, you must have ONE tuner and the other 2 or more must NOT be tuners!

I'd Like to see a pic of a tuner monster. other than that i know what a synchro is but i can't get it.is a tuner monster any monster?

  • No a Tuner Monster is not any monster. If you can read Japanese you will see Junk Synchron is one (It replaces "effect"). Their is off course other Tuners also. Dmaster (Contribs Count) 20:56, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

i want to ask something...... is if thres no macro cosmos in arena, we cannot summon synchro monster???

You can still Synchro Summon, although the Synch. Material will go to RFP zone. It's the same deal with doing Fusions while Macro/Fissure is up on the field. --Pizzaman 01:37, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Mechanics

"In order to match the Level of the Synchro Monster you summon, send 1 Tuner Monster and other monster(s) with an equal total Level to the Graveyard. Basically, it's only necessary to have 1 Tuner Monster."

This contradicts the translation on the page of Stardust Dragon, which says "non-Tuner monsters", meaning that the other monsters must not be Tuner.
It also may contradict the following, from Tuner Monsters:

"When the total Level of the Tuner monster and the other monsters on your side of the field matches the Synchro monster's Level..."

So does the sum of ALL of the monster levels have to add up to the required Synchro monster, or does only a subset which includes a Tuner Monster have to be sacrificed? --68.161.173.108 08:38, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

As far as the cards that have been released, you need to have at least 1 Tuner Monster + 1 or even 2 sometimes non-tuner monsters. It's usually specified on the card.KiraxFreedom 11:50, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Synchro Sacrifice

It says that a Synchro Summon is similar to a Ritual Summon, with out the Ritual Spell Card. Does that mean you can sacrifice a Tuner monster on the field and a Non-tuner monster in you hand to summon a Synchro Monster? (or vis versa)

No, you can't unfortunately. That would be too unfair.KiraxFreedom 11:47, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Can i Synchro summon an 8a star monster when i synchro tribute 3 monsters adding 9 stars?

  • No, the levels of the monsters you use have to add up to exactly the level of the Synchro Monster you are attempting to summon. Bluedog 01:16, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
  • Just a point, but the Fusion Deck is now called "Extra Deck".. Teddy 08:41, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

The monsters that are sent to the graveyard when tuning, are they considered to be Tributes?

Unfair

I think these cards are unfair in all honesty, i've seen people summon like 4 of them in a single turn. They say it is "fair" but I don't think so. 98.21.94.68 14:52, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Fairness determiner

4!? That’s rubbish, that’s hard to manage even with Fusions. Synchro Summoning requires you to Tribute the monsters from your side of the field. 4 monsters? That’s at least 8 monsters recycles/or non. Never seen anyone pull that off in one turn without wasting their whole hand for Ultimate Offering, Double Summon and Chain Summoning. My point is, requires skill to pull that off not anyone can do that. Synchro is hardly unfair, except for the awesome effects.KiraxFreedom 11:21, 17 February 2009 (UTC) Its easy for zombie decks to do any where from 4 to 8 synchros in a turn with plaugespreader zombie

The Levels

When you add the levels of the monsters together, is it the current levels or the levels printed on the card. For example, if someone used Cost Down, Star Blast, or A Legendary Ocean to lower a monster's level for that turn, when you do a synchro summon, do you count their current level or their original level? DivineSorcerer 07:33, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

The effects of Cost Down and A Legendary Ocean only apply while in the Hand, I believe. So yes, you use the original Level printed on the card.KiraxFreedom 11:25, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Extra Deck

The article still says "Fusion Deck", but its name has been changed into "Extra Deck" now.

what happens with synchros?

ok where do synchros go if it is told to go back to the hand like with ordeal of a traveler or begone knave etc. cant really go back to hand so does it stay, go back to extra deck zone or is it destroyed?

It goes back to the Extra Deck. Synchro monsters, like fusions, cannot exist in your hand.--Qim1 18:00, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Dark Tuners

I can use a Dark Tuner and a Tuner for a Synchro Summon?

No since it has to be a tuner and at least one non tuner.--Qim1 18:00, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
I'm not sure a Dark Tuner counts as a Tuner for that purpose, meaning you could use both in the one Synchro or Dark Synchro Summon. Of course no official rules exist for Dark Tuners and Dark Synchros, so there's no way of telling for sure. -- Deltaneos (talk) 18:09, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure Dark Tuners and Tuners cannot be used in the other's Synchro, meaning you cannot have Dark Tuner and Tuner for a Dark Synchro or Synchro. I believe that it has to be either the DT (for Dark Sync's) and Tuner (for Sync's) and the Non-Tuner's and that they cannot be crossed. We will know for sure when Tag Force 4 Comes out, since it will have the Dark Syncs AS actual Dark Sync's. It will also clear up the question surrounding Dark Synchros and Gravity Bind & Level Limit Area B and how Dark Syncs are affected by the Trap/Spell Card.

Specific Required Type or Attributes

When it comes to Synchro Monsters that state they need the tuner, non-tuner, or both to be a certain type or attribute, must the Synchro Material Monsters ALL be of that type/attribute, or is only one required? Rose Duelist 06:54, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

  • If it says Attribute/Type Tuner, then that Tuner HAS to be of the Attribute or Type. If it says 1 or More Non-Tuner Attribute/Type Monster then the Non-Tuner Monster(s) has to be of that Attribute or Type. If it says 2 or More Non-Tuner Attribute/Type Monsters then ALL Non-Tuner Monsters HAVE to be of that Attribute or Type. If it says a Specific Monster (ex Plaguespreader Zombie for the Zombie Synchros) then the Tuner HAS to be that Monster.~MEOW~ Might of the BIRD Empire~~ 07:18, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Should we...

Should we add info on Accel Synchro Summon once it's shown thoroughly in the anime? UltraSynchron 06:02, September 3, 2009 (UTC)
