I'm really excited to see where Yu-Gi-Oh! goes in the future, having seen the Synchro revolution completely change and improve the game, I can't help but think things can only get better. Xyz monsters have got to do much better than what we've seen so far if they're to earn their places in our Extra Decks instead of the nigh-on essential Synchros 90% of decks are running these days. With the import of [[Shooting Quasar Dragon]] still to come and the release of the rest of the OCG-only Synchros pending, Xyz have their work cut out here.

So far, only a very select few [[Xyz]] monsters seem to have the balance of investment to output sorted. Among them is [[Steelswarm Roach]], who can serve as a [[Solemn Warning]] for those of us that can't afford a real one; [[Wind-Up Zenmaister]], who combos so well with [[Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter]] that decks revolving around this combo could be a very real thing before the end of the year and [[Black Ray Lancer]], whose effect and summoning requirements slot perfectly into [[Fish OTK]], as you can use two Oyster Meister that you've summoned with [[Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth]] and negate an opposing annoyance like Spirit Reaper or Armor Master in preparation for your all-out assault!

I play on Duelingnetwork under the username Shamus, so if you're up for a duel, I'll be on there most days. I have OCG- and TCG-legal decks built, and cannot wait for Hidden Arsenal 5, since I predict it will carry the archetype I most want to build in future: Steelswarm!

User:James 'Shamus' Smith has made edits.

I've been playing Yu-Gi-Oh! since 2004 and have seen many trends come and go. In the meantime, this Wikia has flourished into the best game-related database on the Internet. Magic the Gathering and Pokemon wish they had a system this comprehensive! I am currently RC-1 certified and a registered KDE Judge.

With the import of Shooting Quasar Dragon still to come and the release of the rest of the OCG-only Synchros pending, Xyz have their work cut out here.

So far, only a very select few Xyz monsters seem to have the balance of investment to output sorted. Among them is Steelswarm Roach, who can serve as a Solemn Warning for those of us that can't afford a real one; Wind-Up Zenmaister, who combos so well with Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter; Leviair the Sea Dragon who can combo with Tour Guide From the Underworld to produce a game-winning opening play. In real life I play an unconventional Chaos Dragon deck, which runs Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 and LV8! Needless to say Rescue Rabbit and DarkWorld have a lot to fear from it, and Horus LV6 has nothing to fear from Inzektors (apart from those boosted by Giga-Mantis).

I also play on Duelingnetwork under the username Shamus, so if you're up for a duel, I'll be on there most days.
