Archetypes

Any card that contain the specified string of Japanese text in its Japanese name is considered a member of the archetype, even if it does not receive support from current archetype support cards. Ergo, "Abyss Soldier" is an "Abyss" card. There was an exhaustive forum discussion that came to that consensus. Please do not change it without discussion. Gagaga Academy Tospedia card images

I appreciate the effect you put into putting the images into their card galleries. However, those are unofficial; I looked up the biggest card images that I could find, then cropped out the card so only the artwork remained. As such, they only qualify as a sort of "fan-art." These images are only meant to serve as placeholders until high quality videogame images come out (much like the Tag Force artworks). I'd like to know where you're getting the info from. Don't really consider anything else "official" unless it comes from one of the Organization's members, one of which includes NeoArkadia. No, those translations on Pojo were "legit" translations, albeit very summarized ones. Ark would only be willing to translate them if he had high-resolution scans (he won't settle for cruddy quality), and Dark Evangel is picky enough to not want to transcribe all of the storylines so Ark could give his version. Card Trivia monster appearances

Please don't use "This card appears in X" for things like Midrash and Leo. It's only appropriate for things like "Royal Command" ("This card appears in the artwork of "Trap Stun".), since the card literally appears in the artwork. In case you didn't know already, we now have an efficient way of getting good-quality non-watermarked images (although some cards may be missing from that site...). In any case, would you mind sharing which website you got those images from?
And yeah... Would greatly appreciate if you could help put PT names and lores on the Wiki, since the website I linked does give lores, but they don't actually say what the PT card says. Unused image space

Please don't remove empty images from Card Galleries like you did for "Cyber Dragon". At the very least, make sure their naming scheme is correct, and change it to .png. We don't remove empty images, because we don't want to manually add them each time. We only remove them when we are absolutely sure they were never released in that language or edition. Korean Card Gallery

Thanks for catching my mistake in the 1 Card Gallery. Regarding Susanowo, Korean sets don't have Ultimate Rares anymore, FYI. If you doubt the KR card gallery, just go to http://www.tcgshop.co.kr/ and type in the Korean Set ID of the card. WSUP set numbers

Personally, I would have waited for their English names to be confirmed before creating them. We've had weird things in other languages; for example, the French name of "Tour Guide From the Underworld" is "Guide des Enfers" ("Hell Guide") and the Spanish name of "Qliphort Stealth" is "Avión Furtivo Qlifuerte" ("Qliphort Stealth Plane"). As a counterexample, you can see that the French name of "Guard Go" seems to be translated as "Guard, Go!" RE:Paladin of Felgrand and similar searchers

This is starting to approach the shady side of determining which "searchers" deserve spots on the Tips page =/. In Dragon-Type Decks, "Paladin of Felgrand" can't make its equipped Dragon accessible until Paladin leaves the field or the Equip gets sent to the Graveyard. There is no natural way of doing these things, except by virtue of Paladin's Special Summon effect or subsequently crashing Paladin (or stuff like "Parallel Twister", "Ruins of the Divine Dragon Lords", etc.). "Dragunity Divine Lance" is different, since the "Dragunity" cards love their "Dragunity" monsters that are now Equip Cards; the Equip Card is immediately usable, by virtue of the equipped monster's effect and/or the effect of the monster-turned-into-Equip Card. "Crystal Tree" is similar, except the "Crystal Beast" Continuous Spell Cards don't do anything by themselves. But in a "Crystal Beast" Deck, there a lot of card effects that rely on "Crystal Beast" Continuous Spell Cards. In other words, I'd equate "Paladin of Felgrand" to something like "Deep Diver", which isn't immediately useful unless you have a draw card. --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 23:25, July 10, 2016 (UTC)

Set template

Hi, GMTails. When creating a set template, there should be a main template and then the sub-templates (by region) that should be redirected to the main one. You created {{Set/AP08/PT}}, while {{Set/AP08}} existed. So it should be redirected there.
There are exceptions, of course (like when different sets share the same prefix); But, usually, try to check for a more generic one and, if there is, redirect the one you are creating to it. If I wasn't very clear, let me know. Becasita Pendulum (talk • contribs) 13:16, August 3, 2016 (UTC)

Tierra

It's "Tierra, Goddess of Rebirth" in "Purusha Shaddoll Aion", not the "Infernoid Tierra", reasons:

  • Infernoid has long hair, Goddess instead has all the fire in the head AND in the body.
  • Infernoid has one black wing and a darker body, Goddess has both wings transparent and a lighter body.
  • About the orbs, they are probably detached (like in "Qliphort Down"), also they're back in "Void Madness".
  • And finally, the storyline. After the battle in "Ultimate Providence", Tierra fused with the Apoqliphorts to form the Goddess to fight and lose to "Tellarknight Vatlamyus". --Missign0 (talk • contribs) 04:12, October 12, 2016 (UTC)

Just to let you know that this isn't necessary at all, since {{Navigation}} already links to the main card page (which means a link is already presented there); unless I'm missing something. Hello. I use a link because it allows the Bot to replace it with the official TCG name along with the other articles it appears in. It also becomes listed in Special:WhatLinksHere of the unofficially named article, hence why it is easier to find. Recent uploads

What's your reasoning for cutting out parts of the screen. Yes, we want as much of the monsters as possible and nothing else, but not if that means giant white spaces as part of the image files. A straight screencap would be preferred. Cheesedude (talk • contribs) 03:12, August 3, 2017 (UTC)

The main reason was the limitation imposed by the camera movement. Since it was panning over the scene diagonally, I preferred to stitch them like this in order to cover the most of it. Stacking them vertically would give results like this. It doesn't look so bad, but it felt like Revolver was pushed too much into the corner, which in my opinion contradicts the image's purpose to show both the character and its Deck.

However, I agree with you on Yusaku's image. A simple vertical stitch looks good, and I'll upload a new version in a few minutes. GMTails (talk • contribs) 01:20, August 4, 2017 (UTC)

You shouldn't be able to Special Summon a monster like "PSY-Framelord Omega" again, even if it leaves then returns to the field. But I'm not sure if that's what the person meant to say.
