"Void", known as "Purgatory" (れんごく, Rengoku) in the Japanese version, is an archetype of Spell/Trap Cards, the first support for which was introduced in Crossed Souls. Unlike other archetypes, "Void" is divided between two entirely distinct play styles, with one being exclusive to the manga. Additionally, several other unrelated cards, such as "Into the Void", are in this archetype.

In the TCG and OCG, this is an archetype of Spell/Trap Cards that support the "Infernoid" archetype, while in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's manga, this is a series of Spell/Trap Cards used by Kalin Kessler that support or are mechanically associated with the "Infernity" archetype. They have no support in the manga.

"Unformed Void" is not a "Void" card because it does not have 「れんごく」 in its Japanese name.

Due to its Japanese name, "Blast Magician" also falls into this archetype. However, because TCG and OCG support for this archetype only works on Spell and Trap Cards, this is not an issue unless it is treated as an Equip Card.
