"Memory Games", known as "Soul Replica" in the Japanese version, is the fifty-eighth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime. It first aired in Japan on July 4, 2018, and aired in Canada on November 24, 2019.

Bohman launches a fierce attack against Playmaker and inflicts a huge amount of damage to him. However, Playmaker's fighting spirit still does not waver. In order to achieve victory, he attempts to break up the vicious "Hydradrive" monsters' formation. However, Bohman then does something that no one could have possibly foreseen...

Summary

Ai asks if Playmaker is really a fake.

Atop the stone statues, Bohman declares that Playmaker can't defeat him because he's fake while Bohman is real, and he claims that he'll show Playmaker hell (in the dub, he tells him that all inferior copies must be deleted). The score stands with Bohman on 2100 LP and Playmaker on 1600, and as Playmaker grits his teeth, Harlin watches from above Bohman, wondering if Bohman and Playmaker will really switch places after the Duel if Bohman wins, and he smiles, thinking that this is getting exciting. Ai sweatdrops, asking if Playmaker is a fake and an A.I. copy of Bohman. He thinks that it might be possible, as Playmaker has the traits and his great at Dueling, just like an A.I. He asks Playmaker if it's true, and Playmaker replies that all he can say is that whoever wins the Duel is the real one. Ai is shocked that Playmaker didn't deny it, and wonders if he really is the fake.

"Detonate Deleter" activates its effect.

Playmaker declares that he'll continue the Duel, and declares his turn and draws. He Summons "Widget Kid" and activates its effect, Special Summoning a Cyberse monster from his hand in Defense Position. He Special Summons "RAM Clouder" and then activates its effect, Tributing a monster to Special Summon a Cyberse monster from his Graveyard. He Tributes "Widget Kid" and Special Summons "Update Jammer", and Harlin wonders if Playmaker is trying to negate the effect of Bohman's Link Spell Card again. Bohman tells him that it's pointless, as the effect of "Twin Hydradrive Knight" negates the effects of the WIND "Update Jammer". As "Update Jammer" is smothered by a ghostly aura, Ai recalls that "Twin Hydradrive Knight" can negate the effects of FIRE and WIND monsters. He wonders whose side to take, considering that both Playmaker and Bohman have bad personalities, and even if Bohman wins, Ai's safety isn't guaranteed. He finally makes his choice, choosing Playmaker. Playmaker then chants "Appear! The circuit that leads to the future!" and explains that the Summoning conditions are at least two Cyberse monsters, and he sets "RAM Clouder" and "Update Jammer" to Link Summon the Link-3 "Detonate Deleter". Then he activates the effect of "Update Jammer" since it was used as Link Material, allowing the Summoned monster to attack twice. Bohman repeats the effect in shock, and Ai celebrates, pointing out that since the effect activated in the Graveyard, "Twin Hydradrive Knight" was unable to negate it. Playmaker declares battle, and "Detonate Deleter" attacks "Twin Hydradrive Knight". Bohman reminds Playmaker that the effect of "Judgment Arrows" will double the ATK of the Link Monster it points to, but Playmaker reveals that the effect of "Detonate Deleter" will destroy the monster it battles prior to damage calculation. Bohman gasps "What?" and "Detonate Deleter" tosses two explosive sticks at "Twin Hydradrive Knight", destroying it. Bohman shields himself from the explosion, and Ai celebrates that Bohman has no monsters left, so if their next attack succeeds they'll win. Playmaker declares the finishing blow, and "Detonate Deleter" attacks Bohman directly. Harlin wonders if Bohman will actually lose, but Bohman snaps that he won't let Playmaker, activating his Quick-Play Spell Card "Half Shut" to halve the ATK of a face-up monster until the end of the turn. "Detonate Deleter" falls to 1050 ATK as it draws a glowing knife and slashes down Bohman's chest, leaving a fizzing scar across his Avatar's chest and reducing him to 1050 LP. Ai laments that Bohman had a defense card ready, and Playmaker ends his turn, returning the ATK of "Detonate Deleter" to 2100.

Bohman screams as the lightning strikes and empowers him.

Harlin tells his brother to pull himself together, and Bohman vows that he won't lose. He must remember those hellish days. He recalls that he saw Playmaker rescued ten years ago, remembering the copy letting out an evil smile as he protested that the copy was a fake and that he was the real one, but the rescuers hadn't heard him and left Bohman in the facility. Bohman declares that afterwards he continued to live in despair, all alone forever in eternal darkness (in the dub, Bohman clarifies that he doesn't blame his would-be rescuers, only Playmaker). He furiously vows that he will never forgive Playmaker, and as he gets to his feet, lightning strikes beneath the clouds and the sky darkens. Playmaker and Ai gasp in shock as lighting forks from the clouds below and strikes Bohman, who screams as it appears to empower him. As the lightning dies down and Bohman's body sparks, he declares that he is the emissary of revenge and vows that he won't fall until he defeats Playmaker. He declares his turn and draws furiously, and Ai timidly calls this a shocking turn of events (in the dub, he snarks that he'd be salty too if he'd been locked up, before remembering that he has been). Bohman Special Summons "Hydradrive Booster" from his hand, reminding Playmaker that he can do so when neither of them control monsters in the Main Monster Zones. Then he activates the effect of "Break Hydradrive" since he Special Summoned a "Hydradrive" monster, Special Summoning it from his Graveyard in Defense Position. Next, Bohman activates the effect of the Continuous Trap Card "Hydradrive Cycle", paying 400 LP to Special Summon a "Hydradrive Token" in Defense Position. His LP falls to 650 as the Monster Token appears, and Ai notes that Bohman willingly gave up LP to get three monsters on the field. Playmaker notes that something is coming and that Bohman hasn't given up, and Ai agrees.

The Data Storm comes to rest beside Bohman as he prepares to activate his Skill.

Bohman declares that the requirements have been met, and Playmaker asks "Requirements?" The cross on Bohman's chest glows as he tells a Data Storm to come, and a Data Storm whips up in the clouds beside them. Playmaker shields himself from the powerful winds, and Ai crouches low on Playmaker's Duel Disk and asks what's happening in shock. Harlin lies low on the statue's forehead, asking what Bohman is planning to do. Bohman tells Playmaker to witness his power, and Playmaker realizes what Bohman means to do as he recalls both the wind and Bohman's 650 LP. The Data Storm approaches Bohman, and he declares that when his LP is 1000 or lower, he can obtain a random Link Monster from the Data Storm. Playmaker and Ai start in shock as Ai realizes what is happening, and Bohman activates his Skill, "Storm Access". He holds up a glowing hand, and the Data Storm encircles it. The winds of the Data Storm have even reached the canyons where Soulburner and Flame are approaching from, and Soulburner notes that the winds are getting stronger and he asks if something is happening. Flame muses that it could be Playmaker's Duel, and he suggests that they hurry.

"Trident Hydradrive Lord" takes on the Attributes of its Link Materials.

The Data Storm concentrates in Bohman's hand and data particles coalesce into a glowing card that Bohman takes as the Data Storm begins to die down. Harlin is impressed, and Bohman smiles in satisfaction as Playmaker asks if it's possible to use a Skill during a Master Duel. Ai states that he can't create a Data Storm this powerful from nothing, so how could Bohman? Bohman glows with a yellow aura as he chants "Appear! My three circuits!" He sets all of his monsters and Link Summons the Link-1 "Burn", "Flow", and "Coolant Hydradrives". Playmaker observes the three "Hydradrives" with different Attributes, and Bohman tells Playmaker to prepare himself, chanting "Appear! The circuit that connects the truth!" He declares that the Summoning conditions are three "Hydradrive" Link Monsters, and sets "Burn", "Flow" and "Coolant", chanting "Link Summon! Appear, the emissary of revenge! Link-3 Trident Hydradrive Lord!" "Trident Hydradrive Lord" appears from a rainbow curtain of light with 2300 ATK, and Playmaker observes that it's the Link Monster that Bohman obtained via "Storm Access". Bohman explains that when "Trident Hydradrive Lord" is Link Summoned, it becomes the Attributes of the monsters used to Link Summon it. "Trident Hydradrive Lord" twirls its staff and three glowing energy snakes emerge from it; one red, one blue, and one green. Playmaker notes that now "Hydradrive Lord" is FIRE, WATER and WIND, and Bohman adds that as long as "Hydradrive Lord" is on the field, Playmaker's monsters with those Attributes have their effects negated. Playmaker replies that "Detonate Deleter" is DARK and thus unaffected, and Ai adds that it's too bad. But Bohman activates an Equip Spell Card, "Hydradrive Accelerator" and equips it to "Hydradrive Lord". He explains that if the equipped monster is WIND, effects that target his cards other than the equipped monster can be negated, and if it's WATER, Trap Cards can't affect it, while if it's FIRE, Spell Cards can't affect it. "Trident Hydradrive's' spear glows with a fluctuating red, blue, and green aura, and Ai screams that its defense is too strong. Playmaker grits his teeth, and Bohman declares battle, attacking "Detonate Deleter" with "Trident Hydradrive Lord". He activates the effect of "Judgment Arrows", doubling the ATK of the Link Monster it points to, and "Trident Hydradrive Lord" rises to 4600 ATK. Ai cries that they can't take that ATK, and yelps that this is bad. Bohman tells them that this is the end and he tells Playmaker to vanish. "Trident Hydradrive Lord" swings its spear, arcing a rainbow wave of energy across the field and destroying "Detonate Deleter", which vanishes in a massive explosion. The glow fades, and Harlin sits up and cheers that his brother won, but he almost falls and hunches back down.

Playmaker increases his LP just in time with "Link Ration".

Bohman tells Playmaker to give him his body back, but a battered Playmaker gets to his feet and tells him that he won't yet. Harlin gasps Playmaker's name in shock, and Bohman asks how Playmaker can still be standing. Playmaker explains that he activated the Trap Card "Link Ration" as their battling Link Monsters' Link Ratings totaled five or more, allowing him to regain 1000 LP, which allowed him to hang on with 100 LP. Bohman calls the move insolent, and Playmaker adds that he can also Special Summon a "Ration Token" in Defense Position. Bohman grins, noting that Playmaker is down to 100 LP, but still has his fighting spirit; no wonder he's his copy. Ai wonders again if he chose the wrong ally and thinks that it's not too late to join Bohman's side, but then Bohman tells Playmaker that he's fighting in vain and that he'll bury him along with that Ignis. Ai yelps that he's too late, and he quickly cheers Playmaker on, telling him to do his best.

Playmaker smiles after hearing Bohman claim that he was kidnapped by Dr. Kogami.

Playmaker states that he wants to ask Bohman one thing; who kidnapped him during the Lost Incident? Bohman snorts at the notion that Playmaker is asking him this, and he states that it was Dr. Kogami of course. Playmaker smiles, and he states that after hearing that, he's convinced - Bohman is not Playmaker's copy. Bohman agrees that of course he isn't, as Playmaker is the copy. But Playmaker states that he doesn't share the memories that Bohman does of his body and consciousness being replaced, and he states that Bohman must be implanted with fake memories. Bohman snaps that that's nonsense; his memories are clear and Playmaker is the one imprinted with fake memories. Ai freaks out, looking back and forth between Playmaker and Bohman and wondering which one is right, thinking that there's no way to check memories. Exactly, Playmaker states. There's no way to check. If someone can imprint fake memories, there's a chance his memories were replaced too. No-one can prove which one of them is real, but Playmaker still believes he's the real one.

Yusaku and Roken talking in the street as they met for the first time.

He remembers running down a street in the evening in his youth, and bumping into Roken, scattering cards everywhere. Yusaku apologized and began picking the cards up, asking if Roken played Duel Monsters too. Roken confirmed that he did, and he asked if Yusaku did too. Yusaku stated that he loved it, and Roken asked if Yusaku wanted to come to his house and look at his Deck. Playmaker states that the boy was Varis, and that was why he couldn't stand his wrongdoings and became Playmaker's voice of hope. He remembers Roken telling him to think of three things, and he states that that's the truth inside him. (In the dub, the flashbacks to Roken are cut. Instead, Playmaker gives three reasons as to why Bohman's memories are the ones that have been manipulated.) First, he promises to win this Duel, second, he'll retrieve Kolter's brother's consciousness data from Bohman, and third, he'll uncover Bohman's identity and the one controlling him (How could Bohman be sure he is Playmaker if he couldn't remember his own name just days ago, if he were Playmaker he'd never have involved Jin, and Playmaker will prove that he isn't inferior by defeating Bohman in the dub). Ai gasps Playmaker's name in awe, and Bohman clenches his fist, asking how dare a copy speak such nonsense. He snaps that he'll make sure Playmaker can't talk again. Playmaker replies that won't happen, because he'll defeat Bohman this turn.

To Harlin and Bohman's shock, Playmaker revives "Clock Wyvern".

Playmaker declares his turn and draws. He Summons "Cyberse Gadget" from his hand and activates its effect, Special Summoning "Catche Eve L2" from his Graveyard. He chants "Appear! The circuit that leads to the future!" and explains that the Summoning condition is one Normal Monster, so he sets the "Ration Token" in the Link Arrow to Link Summon the Link-1 "Link Spider". He activates the effect of "Link Spider", Special Summoning a Level 4 or lower Normal Monster from his hand to a zone it points to, and he Special Summons "Protron". He Link Summons again; this time the Summoning conditions are two Cyberse monsters, and he sets "Cyberse Gadget" and "Link Spider" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon the Link-2 "Flame Administrator". He begins to activate the effect of "Flame Administrator", but Bohman snaps that he won't let him, reminding him that the effect of "Hydradrive Lord" will negate the effects of FIRE monsters, and "Flame Administrator" glows with the ghostly aura. Playmaker then activates the effect of "Cyberse Gadget" as it was used to Link Summon, Special Summoning a "Gadget Token". He Link Summons for a third time; the Summoning condition is a Level 4 or lower Cyberse, and he sets the "Gadget Token" to Link Summon the Link-1 "Link Disciple". He chants "The circuit that leads to the future!" again, and sets "Catche Eve L2" and "Flame Administrator" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon the Link-2 "Clock Spartoi". Harlin is surprised that Playmaker summoned a new Link-2 monster instead of a Link-3, and Bohman asks what he's planning. Playmaker activates the effect of "Clock Spartoi" as it was Link Summoned, adding "Cynet Fusion" from his Deck to his hand. Harlin gasps in shock, and Bohman notes that it's a Fusion card, can it be? Then Playmaker activates the effect of "Linkuriboh" from his Graveyard, Tributing a Level 1 monster to Special Summon it. Next he activates the effect of "Clock Spartoi" since a monster was Special Summoned to a zone it pointed to, Special Summoning a Level 4 or lower monster from his Graveyard with its effects negated to a zone that it points to. He revives "Clock Wyvern", and Harlin asks in shock when that monster went to the Graveyard. Bohman wonders if it was back then in the second turn when Playmaker sent it to the Graveyard; he's expected this all from the start. Playmaker retorts that a fake like Bohman can't anticipate his plans, and the lines on his suit glow purple as he activates the Spell Card "Cynet Fusion", fusing "Clock Wyvern", "Link Disciple" and "Clock Spartoi". He chants "The strong ones gather before its grand wings! Become a new legend! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Cyberse Clock Dragon!"

"Linkuriboh" dances behind "Cyberse Clock Dragon", allowing its effect to protect Playmaker's field.

Ai declares that it's a DARK Fusion Monster (in the dub, he simply says that time's running out for Bohman), and Playmaker activates the effect of "Cyberse Clock Dragon"; for every Link Material's Link Arrow, he sends a card from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard to give it 1000 ATK. He sends three cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, and Ai announces that "Cyberse Clock Dragon" gains 3000 ATK, bringing it up to 5500. Bohman repeats the ATK value in shock, and Harlin gasps that this is bad; Bohmam can't survive this attack. Ai tells Playmaker to destroy Bohman and his "Hydradrive Lord" (in the dub, he acknowledges Harlin's statement, though he doesn't know his name), but Bohman retorts that he won't let Playmaker, activating the effect of the Continuous Trap Card "Hydradrive Cycle", paying 400 LP to Special Summon a FIRE "Hydradrive Token" to Playmaker's field in Defense Position. His LP falls to 250, and the glowing red Token materializes in front of Playmaker. Playmaker gasps and Ai wonders why the Token was summoned to their field (with a visible question mark; in the dub he hesitantly thanks him). Bohman then activates the effect of "Hydradrive Lord"; until the end of the turn, all their monsters become the same Attribute as the targeted monster. He targets the "Hydradrive Token", and Harlin comments that he sees; if he uses that Token to change "Clock Dragon" to FIRE Attribute... Ai yelps that due to the effect of "Hydradrive Lord", the effects of FIRE monsters are negated, so the ATK of "Clock Dragon" will return to 2500. Bohman grins in satisfaction, claiming that he told Playmaker that he knows everything about his Dueling. Playmaker grins in return and asks if he's sure, and he declares the other effect of "Clock Dragon"; while he controls a Link Monster, Bohman can only target "Clock Dragon" for attacks or with card effects. Ai is shocked, asking if Playmaker has a Link Monster, and as he looks around he spots "Linkuriboh" happily jumping on the field, and Ai cries that they do. Playmaker states that "Hyrdradrive Lord" can only select the DARK Attribute "Clock Dragon", and he can't negate that effect. Bohman grits his teeth, and Playmaker declares his Battle Phase, attacking "Trident Hydradrive Lord" with "Cyberse Clock Dragon". Bohman declares that the effect of "Judgment Arrows" will double the ATK of "Hydradrive Lord", to 4600, but Playmaker snaps that it's pointless, and declares the "Pulsating Surge" attack of "Clock Dragon". Purple energy flows across its body into its maw and it releases the energy column, destroying "Trident Hydradrive Lord" and blasting Bohman backwards, reducing his LP to zero.

Soulburner suggests they log out as the Wind World destabilizes.

Ai cheers that Playmaker did it and that he's won. He claims that he knew Playmaker would win from the start. Bohman asks himself if he lost, and the watching figure in the light muses that Bohman lost, but it's all right, since he learned of Playmaker's indomitable fighting spirit (in the dub, he instead notes that losing is how Bohman learns, which will eventually lead to winning). The battered stone statues that they're standing on begin to crumble, and Playmaker leaps off his and onto his Duel Board. Harlin declares that his brother will return and he tells Playmaker to stay tuned (in the dub, he claims that Playmaker won today, but things will end differently next time). As the statues fall below the clouds, Soulburner asks if Playmaker is okay. Flame declares that the entire Wind World is destabilizing, and Ai observes that the World is vanishing. Flame states that they'll be in trouble if they stay here, and Soulburner suggests that they use the escape program to log out, before doing so and vanishing. Ai urges Playmaker that they should do so too, but Playmaker is wondering who Bohman is, and who controls him. He thinks that he swears he'll find out who, and he wheels his Duel Board around before logging out.

Featured Duel: Playmaker vs. Bohman

Duel continues from the previous episode.

Playmaker has 1600 LP and controls 2 Set cards in his Spell & Trap Zone. Bohman has 2100 LP and controls "Twin Hydradrive Knight" (1800/←→) in his Main Monster Zone, as well as "Hydradrive Cycle", "Judgment Arrows" (↖↑↗), and 1 Set card in his Spell & Trap Zone, with one of the Link Arrows of "Judgment Arrows" pointing to "Twin Hydradrive Knight".

Turn 4: Playmaker
Playmaker Normal Summons "Widget Kid" (1500/900). As "Widget Kid" was Normal Summoned, Playmaker activates its effect, Special Summoning a Cyberse monster from his hand in Defense Position. He Special Summons "RAM Clouder" (1800/1000). Playmaker activates the effect of "RAM Clouder", Tributing a monster to Special Summon a Cyberse monster from his GY. He Tributes "Widget Kid" to Special Summon "Update Jammer" (2000/←↑). Playmaker sets "RAM Clouder" and "Update Jammer" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Detonate Deleter" (2100/←↙→) to the Extra Monster Zone. As "Update Jammer" was used as material for a Link Summon, Playmaker activates its effect, allowing the Link Summoned monster to attack twice this turn. "Detonate Deleter" attacks "Twin Hydradrive Knight". At the start of the Damage Step, as "Detonate Deleter" is attacking Bohman's monster, Playmaker activates its effect, destroying Bohman's monster. "Detonate Deleter" attacks Bohman directly. Bohman activates his face-down Quick-Play Spell Card "Half Shut", preventing a monster from being destroyed by battle this turn, but its ATK is halved until the End Phase. He targets "Detonate Deleter" ("Detonate Deleter": 2100 → 1050 ATK). The attack continues (Bohman: 2100 → 1050 LP).

Turn 5: Bohman
As there are no monsters in the Main Monster Zones, Bohman Special Summons "Hydradrive Booster" (0/0) from his hand by its own effect. As a "Hydradrive" monster was Special Summoned to Bohman's field while "Break Hydradrive" is in his GY, he activates its effect, Special Summoning it (800/800), but it is banished when it leaves the field. Bohman activates the effect of "Hydradrive Cycle", paying 400 LP (Bohman: 1050 → 650 LP) and declaring an Attribute between EARTH, WATER, FIRE, or WIND to Special Summon a "Hydradrive Token" to the turn player's field with that Attribute. He Special Summons a "Hydradrive Token" (0/0) with an unknown Attribute. As his LP is 1000 or lower, Bohman activates his Skill "Storm Access", randomly accessing a card within a Data Storm. Bohman obtains "Trident Hydradrive Lord" and adds it to his Extra Deck. Bohman sets "Break Hydradrive" in the Link Arrow to Link Summon "Burn Hydradrive" (1000/↓), "Hydradrive Booster" in the Link Arrow to Link Summon "Flow Hydradrive" (1000/↓), and a "Hydradrive Token" in the Link Arrow to Link Summon "Coolant Hydradrive" (1000/↓) to the zones the top-left, top-center and top-right Link Arrows of "Judgment Arrows" point to.

Bohman sets "Burn Hydradrive", "Flow Hydradrive" and "Coolant Hydradrive" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Trident Hydradrive Lord" (2300/←↓→) to a zone "Judgment Arrows" points to. As "Trident Hydradrive Lord" was Link Summoned, Bohman activates its effect to change its Attribute to that of the original Attributes of the Link Monsters used for its Link Summon, in this case FIRE, WATER, and WIND. The effect of "Trident Hydradrive Lord" negates the effects of all monsters Playmaker controls with the same Attribute as "Trident Hydradrive Lord". Bohman activates the Equip Spell Card "Hydradrive Accelerator", equipping it to "Trident Hydradrive Lord". "Trident Hydradrive Lord" is FIRE, WATER, and WIND, so "Hydradrive Accelerator" makes "Trident Hydradrive Lord" become unaffected by Playmaker's Spell and Trap effects, and if Playmaker activates a card or effect that targets a card Bohman controls other than "Trident Hydradrive", "Hydradrive Accelerator" can negate that effect once per turn. "Trident Hydradrive Lord" attacks "Detonate Deleter". As a Link Monster it points to battled, the effect of "Judgment Arrows" doubles its ATK during damage calculation ("Trident Hydradrive Lord": 2300 → 4600 ATK). During damage calculation, as Playmaker's Link Monster is battling Bohman's Link Monster, and the total Link Rating of the battling monsters is five or more, Playmaker activates his face-down Trap Card "Link Ration", gaining 1000 LP (Playmaker: 1600 → 2600 LP), and if Playmaker's Link Monster is destroyed by that battle, he Special Summons a "Ration Token" in Defense Position at the end of the Damage Step. The attack continues and "Detonate Deleter" is destroyed (Playmaker: 2600 → 100 LP). As Playmaker's Link Monster was destroyed, the effect of "Link Ration" Special Summons a "Ration Token" (0/0) in Defense Position.

Turn 6: Playmaker
Playmaker Normal Summons "Cyberse Gadget" (1400/300). As "Cyberse Gadget" was Normal Summoned, Playmaker activates its effect, Special Summoning a Level 2 or lower monster from his GY with its effects negated. He Special Summons the Level 2 "Catche Eve L2" (800/600) in Defense Position. Playmaker sets a "Ration Token" in the Link Arrow to Link Summon "Link Spider" (1000/↓) to the Extra Monster Zone. Playmaker activates the effect of "Link Spider", Special Summoning a Level 4 or lower Normal Monster from his hand to a zone "Link Spider" points to. He Special Summons the Level 1 "Protron" (100/100) to the zone the bottom-center Link Arrow of "Link Spider" points to. Playmaker sets "Link Spider" and "Cyberse Gadget" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Flame Administrator" (1200/←↘) to the left Extra Monster Zone. As "Cyberse Gadget" was sent from the field to the GY, Playmaker activates its effect, Special Summoning a "Gadget Token" (0/0). Playmaker sets a "Gadget Token" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Link Disciple" (500/↓) to the zone the bottom-right Link Arrow of "Flame Administrator" points to. Playmaker sets "Catche Eve L2" and "Flame Administrator" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Clock Spartoi" (800/↓↘) to the right Extra Monster Zone. As "Clock Spartoi" was Link Summoned, Playmaker activates its effect, adding "Cynet Fusion" to his hand. Playmaker activates the effect of "Linkuriboh" in his GY, Tributing a Level 1 monster he controls to Special Summon it. He Tributes "Protron" and Special Summons "Linkuriboh" (300/↓) to the zone the bottom-center Link Arrow of "Clock Spartoi" points to. As a monster was Special Summoned to a zone "Clock Spartoi" points to, Playmaker activates its effect, Special Summoning a Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster from his GY to a zone it points to, but he cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Fusion Monsters. He Special Summons the Level 4 "Clock Wyvern" (1800/1000) to the zone the bottom-right Link Arrow of "Clock Spartoi" points to.

Playmaker activates the Spell Card "Cynet Fusion", Fusion Summoning a Cyberse Fusion Monster from his Extra Deck using monsters from his hand or field as Fusion Materials. He fuses "Clock Wyvern", "Link Disciple" and "Clock Spartoi" to Fusion Summon "Cyberse Clock Dragon" (2500/2000) to the Extra Monster Zone. As "Cyberse Clock Dragon" was Fusion Summoned, Playmaker activates its effect, sending cards from the top of his Deck to the GY equal to the combined Link Rating of the Link Monsters used to Fusion Summon it, then gaining 1000 ATK for each card sent. The combined Link Rating of "Clock Spartoi" and "Link Disciple" is three, so Playmaker sends the top three cards of his deck to the GY ("Cyberse Clock Dragon": 2500 → 5500 ATK). Bohman activates the effect of "Hydradrive Cycle", paying 400 LP (Bohman: 650 → 250 LP) to Special Summon a FIRE "Hydradrive Token" (0/0) to Playmaker's field. Bohman activates the effect of "Trident Hydradrive Lord", targeting a face-up monster Playmaker controls and changing the Attributes of all face-up monsters Playmaker currently controls to the same as the targeted monster's, until the end of the turn. While Playmaker controls a Link Monster, the effect of "Cyberse Clock Dragon" prevents Bohman from targeting other monsters he controls for attacks or card effects, except "Cyberse Clock Dragon", so Bohman targets "Cyberse Clock Dragon", changing the Attribute of all face-up monsters Playmaker controls to DARK.

"Cyberse Clock Dragon" attacks "Trident Hydradrive Lord". As a Link Monster it points to battled, the effect of "Judgment Arrows" doubles its ATK during damage calculation ("Trident Hydradrive Lord": 2300 → 4600 ATK). The attack continues and "Trident Hydradrive Lord" is destroyed (Bohman: 250 → 0 LP).
