• In episode 2, Lenny uses this card during his Ground Duel against Yusei Fudo. He adds it from his Deck to his hand via "Insect Costume". After Lenny Special Summons "Metal Armored Bug" via the effect of "Pinch Hopper", Lenny Special Summons this card by banishing "Pinch Hopper" and "Insect Knight" from his Graveyard. "Chainsaw Insect" then attacks "Shield Warrior", but Yusei activates "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" to negate the attack. After that resolves, "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" resets itself. "Metal Armored Bug" then attacks and destroys Yusei's "Shield Warrior". The effect of "Retribution of the Ant Lion" then activates, inflicting 800 damage to Yusei. This card then attacks directly. Later "Junk Warrior" (whose ATK was 3200 due to the effect of "Fighting Spirit") attacks and destroys "Chainsaw Insect". The effect of "Retribution of the Ant Lion" then activates, inflicting 800 damage to Lenny. Yusei then activates the effect of "Domino Effect" to send "Fighting Spirit" and his set "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" to the Graveyard and destroy this card and "Metal Armored Bug". The effect of "Retribution of the Ant Lion" then activates twice, inflicting 1600 damage to Lenny and winning Yusei the Duel.
  • Strangely, Yusei didn't need to send a card from his deck to his Graveyard even though it attacked him directly and he lost Life Points.
