  • This is Roman's "Earthbound Immortal".
  • This was the Featured Card in episode 46.
  • In episode 46, Roman Goodwin uses this card during his Ground Duel against Yusei Fudo. He Special Summons this card via "Altar of the Bound Deity". When this card was sacrificing non-Signers into itself, John and Mitch were nearly sacrificed, but Jack jumps into the scene and holds the boys to protect them from being sacrificed. This card then attacks directly via its own effect, but Yusei activates "Iron Resolve" to pay half his Life Points and reduce all Battle Damage he takes to 0. Martha later lets herself be sacrificed into this card in order to save Taka from being sacrificed. Yusei was enraged at this and states to Roman he won't forgive him for that. Later "Stardust Dragon" attacks directly (as this card was the only monster on Roman's side of the field), but Roman activates "Spider Egg" to negate the attack and Special Summon three Spider Tokens. After Yusei ends his turn, Roman forces Rally to take his place in the Duel. Rally then activates this card's final effect to Tribute a "Spider Token" and take control of "Turbo Booster" until the End Phase. He then Normal Summons "Turbo Rocket" and tunes "Turbo Booster" with "Turbo Rocket" in order to Synchro Summon "Turbo Cannon". Rally then activates the effect of "Turbo Cannon" to destroy this card and inflict its ATK as damage to himself, winning Yusei the Duel.
  • In episode 56, Roman uses this card during his Ground Duel against Yusei. He Tribute Summons this card by Tributing two "Dark Spiders". This card then attacks directly via its own effect, but Yusei activates "Synchro Barrier" to prevent himself from taking any damage this turn. Later "Speed Warrior" (whose ATK was 1800 due to its own effect) attacks directly as this card was the only monster Roman being controls, but Roman activates "Roar of the Earthbound" to destroy "Speed Warrior" and inflict half its ATK as damage to Yusei. On Roman's next turn, this card attacks directly, but Yusei activates "Spirit Force" to reduce the Battle Damage he would take from the attack to 0, however Roman activates "Earthbound Wave" to negate the activation of "Spirit Force" and destroy it. The direct attack continues. In the next episode, this card attacks directly via its own effect, but Yusei Tributes "Zero Gardna" to prevent himself from taking any Battle Damage this turn. Later Yusei activates "Shooting Star" to destroy "Spider Web" (with no Field Spell Card on the field, this card will be destroyed on the End Phase and until then this card's effects will be negated), but Roman activates "Anti Emptiness" to reduce this card's ATK to 0 until the End Phase and negate the activation of "Shooting Star" and destroy it. On Roman's End Phase, the effect of "Anti-Emptyness" expires. On the last turn of the Duel, a Waltz Token (who had the same stats as "Stardust Dragon") attacks directly as this card was the only monster Roman controls, but Roman activates the effect of "Roar of the Earthbound" to destroy the token and inflict half its ATK as damage to Yusei, however Yusei Tributes "Stardust Dragon" to negate the effect of "Roar of the Earthbound" and destroy it. Roman then activates "Brilliant Shrine Art" to redirect all of Yusei's attacks to this card. This card then destroys the Waltz Token, but Yusei takes no Battle Damage as the battle involved a Waltz Token. This card's ATK then decreases by the ATK of the Waltz Token. Yusei then activates "Stardust Flash" to Special Summon "Stardust Dragon" from his Graveyard, ignoring the Summoning conditions. "Stardust Dragon" then attacks and destroys this card, winning Yusei the Duel. With Roman's defeat, the souls of Rally, Nervin, Blitz, Tank, and Martha amongst others within this card are released and revived.
  • In episode 130, this card appears in a series of flashbacks that Akiza Izinski, Leo, Luna, Carly Carmine, and Mina Simington have when they note to each other that Yusei's past is a big burden for him.
  • In episode 149, this card appears in Z-one's backstory when he explains how he became Yusei and why he wanted to destroy Neo Domino City to change the future. This card is shown on Z-one's computer when he is shown looking up Yusei's history.
  • This card's attack in the Japanese anime is "Hell Thread".
