- This card is one of the few cards whose debut came out much earlier than its actual scheduled OCG/TCG card release. These types of cards are usually released in FET. Others include: Death Meteor, Card of Sanctity, Chiron the Mage, Silent Swordsman LV5 and Release Restraint.
- According to Joey Wheeler, this card represents a warrior powerful enough to devastate entire battlefields simply by picking up a weapon. Fearful of his own might, he sealed himself in a suit of iron armor to limit his power.
- This card's attack is called Dark Mega Slash in the original while it was equipped with "Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword".
- In episode 162, Joey Wheeler uses this card during his Duel against Rex Raptor. He summons this card via "Release Restraint". Joey then activates "Claw of Hermos" to merge the latter with "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" in order to create "Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword". Joey then equips "Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword" onto this card, increasing its ATK by 1000. Due to the second effect of "Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword", this card gained 500 ATK due to "Tyrant Dragon" being on the field. Since this card was equipped with an Equip Card, this card's effect activates, destroying "Tyrant Dragon". This card's ATK then decreased to 3600. This card then attacks directly, winning Joey the duel.
