- In Rank 051, Yuma Tsukumo plays this card during his Duel against E'Rah. After activating "Shining Hope Road"'s effect, he overlays "No. S39: Utopia the Lightning" with Ryoga's "No. 37: Hope Woven Dragon Spider Shark" and Kaito's "No. 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy" (both treated as "Shining Numbers") and perform a Xyz Change ZEXAL with Astral to Xyz Summon them as this card via Shining Xyz Evolution . Since "Hope ZEXAL" prevents the opponent from activating cards or effects when it is Summoned, the effect of E'Rah's Anti-Hope, God of Despair" does not resolve. Yuma and Astral later activate the other effect of "Hope ZEXAL" to make its (their) own ATK equal to the total Ranks of all monsters used as Xyz Materials for its Summon x 500, boosting it to 9500. They, as "Hope ZEXAL", then proceed to attack and destroy "Anti-Hope, God of Despair", winning the Duel.
