Card Appearances:Rainbow Dark Dragon
- In episode 148, Jesse Anderson uses this card during his Duel against Zane Truesdale while the former was possessed by Yubel. He adds this card from his Deck to his hand via "Rainbow Path". Later Jesse Special Summons this card from his hand since he has all seven Crystal Beasts on his field and/or in his Graveyard. This card then attacks "Cyber Barrier Dragon". Zane attempts to activate the effect of "Cyber Barrier Dragon", but the last effect of "Advanced Dark" forbade Zane from doing so as this card was attacking "Cyber Barrier Dragon". This card then destroys "Cyber Barrier Dragon". Later Zane activates the effect of "Cyber Laser Dragon" to destroy this card, but Jesse sends "Advanced Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat" from his Spell & Trap Card Zone to the Graveyard via this card's second effect to prevent this card's destruction. On Jesse's next turn, this card attacks "Cyber Laser Dragon", but Zane activates "Cybernetic Hidden Technology" to destroy this card and end Jesse's Battle Phase, however Jesse sends "Advanced Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" from his Spell & Trap Card Zone to the Graveyard via this card's second effect in order to prevent this card's destruction. Later "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon" attacks this card four times. Due to the second effect of "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon", damage calculation is not applied. The last effect of "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon" then activates, inflicting 1600 damage to Jesse (400 damage for each attack). Jesse then activates "Rainbow Life" to negate the damage he received this turn prior to the activation of "Rainbow Life" and increase her Life Points by the amount negated. "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon" then attacks this card again, but damage calculation is once again not applied. Due to the last effect of "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon", Jesse takes 400 damage. Later this card attacks "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon", but Zane activates "Dimension Explosion" to return "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon" to the Extra Deck and Special Summon his three banished "Cyber Dragons" and "Cyber Valley". Zane then activates the first effect of "Cyber Valley" to banish the latter and end the Battle Phase. On the last turn of the Duel, "Cyber End Dragon" (whose ATK was 8000 due to "Power Bond") attacks this card, but Jesse activates "Counter Gem" to take "Advanced Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle", "Advanced Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus", "Advanced Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat", "Advanced Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise" and "Advanced Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger" from his Graveyard and place them in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as Continuous Spell Cards. Jesse then activates this card's first effect to send all Advanced Crystal Beasts in his Spell & Trap Card Zone to the Graveyard and increase this card's ATK by 5000 (1000 for each monster sent to the Graveyard this way). Zane then activates "Cybernetic Zone" to banish his "Cyber End Dragon" from the field until the End Phase. This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
- In episode 151, Jesse uses this card during his Duel against Jaden Yuki while the former was possessed by Yubel. He Special Summons this card from his hand as he had all seven Crystal Beasts on his field and/or in his Graveyard. This card then attacks and destroys "Elemental HERO Neos". In the next episode, this card attacks directly, but Jaden activates "The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh" to Special Summon "Winged Kuriboh". A replay then occurs and Jesse uses this card to attack and destroy "Winged Kuriboh". Jaden then learns from the Crystal Beasts that Jesse's soul is trapped within this card and advised him to destroy "Advanced Dark" before getting rid of this card. On Jesse's next turn, this card attacks and destroys Jaden's "Elemental Hero Storm Neos", Jaden then activates the second effect of "Instant Neo Space" to Special Summon "Elemental HERO Neos" from his Deck. Later Jaden activates "Super Polymerization" to fuse this card with "Neos" in order to Fusion Summon "Rainbow Neos". This action frees Jesse's soul and purifies this card back into "Rainbow Dragon".
- In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears within Jaden's thoughts when he notes that he could use "Grand Mole" to attack "Rainbow Dark Dragon" and return to its hand, but he then realizes that will leave him wide open for a direct attack by Jesse's two remaining monsters, and he will lose if those attacks succeed.
- In episode 163, this card is seen in a flashback Zane has when he reminiscences on the last greatest Duel he ever had and washing up on Duel Academy after he lost to Jesse.
- In episode 172, this card is shown in a flashback Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus has when he reminds Jaden and Jesse that they have overcome the darkness in their hearts.
- In episode 180, this card is shown in a series of flashbacks Jaden has when he notes to himself that a Duel isn't fun for everyone and that he knows that there is a serious responsibility in a Duel. In order to prepare for that, Jaden had to become more like an adult, but there is something that must not be forgotten.
- In the Japanese version, this card's attack name is "Rainbow Reflection" and in the dub it's "Dark Rainbow Refraction".
