Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's[edit]

Details[edit]

  • When Jack Atlas summons this card, he chants "The ruler's heartbeats will now file through here! Take witness to its creation-shaking power! Synchro Summon! My very soul, Red Demons Dragon!".
  • Its attack names in the Japanese version are Blazing Crimson Hell Flare and Absolute Power Force and its effect is Demon Meteor. In the dub, its first attack was renamed Scorching Crimson Flare, while its second attack name remained Absolute Power Force.
    • Unlike most Dragon-Type monsters, who release their attacks from their mouths, "Red Dragon Archfiend's" attack summons a ball of fire above its fist before delivering a powerful punch/claw strike to its target.
  • In the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime, there is only one copy of this card in existence. The three "Red Dragon Archfiends" used by Jack's robotic doppelganger are artificial copies created by Lester, indicated by their different colors.
  • This card appears to reflect Jack's personality.
    • Its second effect involves destroying other monsters that this card's controller has on their field if they don't attack, which is similar to how Jack turned his back on his friends when he wished to be King and felt that his friends would not help with that goal due to them being Satellite residents.
    • With its high ATK and ability to punish defensive play for both players, this card reflects Jack's philosophy on Dueling; he always wants to be on the offensive with the most powerful monster on the field, dislikes defensive play, and goes all-out on his opponent at all times.

Anime appearances[edit]

Fortune Cup[edit]

  • In episode 1, Jack uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Hunter Pace. He Synchro Summons this card through unknown means. This card then attacks and destroys "Skull Flame", winning Jack the Duel.
  • In episode 4, Jack used this card during his Turbo Duel against Yusei Fudo. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Big Piece Golem" with "Dark Resonator". In the next episode, Jack uses this monster to attack and destroy "Junk Warrior". This activates this card's effect, destroying "Shield Warrior". On Jack's next turn, this card attacks "Sonic Chick". The latter isn't destroyed due to its effect, but this card's effect then activates, however Yusei activates "Remote Revenge" to destroy both of Jack's monsters by negating the effect of "Red Dragon Archfiend". Jack then Tributes "Stardust Dragon" to negate and destroy "Remote Revenge". On Jack's End Phase, Jack revives "Stardust Dragon" through its second effect, but Yusei activates "Harmonia Mirror" to take control of "Stardust Dragon". Yusei then activates "Speed Spell - Silver Contrails" to increase the ATK of "Stardust Dragon" by 1000 during the Battle Phase this turn. "Stardust Dragon" then attacks this card, but Jack activates "Synchro Deflector" to negate the attack and destroy "Sonic Chick". On Jack's next turn, this card attacks "Stardust Dragon", but Yusei uses the first effect of "Ghost Gardna" to redirect the attack to it instead, destroying it. This activates the second effect of "Ghost Gardna", decreasing this card's ATK by 1000 until the end of the turn. Yusei then activates "Counterattack Beacon" to increase the ATK of "Stardust Dragon" by 500 until the End Phase and conduct battle between this card and "Stardust Dragon". Jack then activates "Prideful Roar" to pay Life Points equal to the ATK difference between this card and "Stardust Dragon" and increase this card's ATK by the ATK difference plus 300 during damage calculation only. Yusei then banishes "Shield Warrior" from his Graveyard in order to prevent his "Stardust Dragon" from being destroyed by battle this turn. The attack fails, but Yusei still takes Battle Damage. After damage calculation, the effect of "Prideful Roar" expires. Jack then activates "Speed Spell - The End of the Storm" to destroy all monsters on the field and inflict 300 damage to both players for each of their destroyed monsters. Yusei then activates "Meteor Stream" and tries to Tribute "Stardust Dragon" to negate and destroy "The End of the Storm", but the effects of "The End of the Storm" and "Meteor Stream" do not resolve as both players' Duel Runners, at this point, start to fail, thus ending the Duel with no result. Had the Duel continued, Yusei would have won the Duel.
  • In episode 6, this card is seen on the sphere monitor that was showing the Turbo Duel between Yusei and Jack.
  • In episode 8, Jack used this card in his Turbo Duel against Hunter Pace. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Big Piece Golem" with "Dark Resonator". This card then attacks and destroyd "Burning Skull Head". The first effect of this card then activates, destroying the Gift Fiend Tokens that were summoned to Hunter's side of the field via "Revival Gift". Jack then activates "Lineage of Destruction" to allow this card to attack three more times as three Defense Position monsters were destroyed this turn. This card then attacks and destroys "Skull Flame". This card then attacks directly twice, winning Jack the Duel.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback Yusei has when Yanagi explains to him that there are five Signers and five Signer Dragons.
    • During the night before Jack's Duel with Hunter. He takes this card out of his Deck. When Mina arrives and tells him information about Hunter for tomorrow and asks Jack to look through it, Jack just asks her how does he look. She claims he is unquestionable like the King of Duelists, but Jack cuts off her off by claiming he isn't. Because of that near loss he had with his earlier Turbo Duel with Yusei, he is no King. Mina states to Jack he should be King, but Jack is insulted by the words "should be" and slaps this card down onto the table. He then walks over to the window and asks if that means he is a clown.
  • In episode 9, this card is seen in a flashback Yusei has when he remembers the Crimson Dragon appearing during his Turbo Duel against Jack, a mark appearing on his arm and Yanagi asking if he was a Signer as there are five.
    • This card is also seen in a flashback Jack has when he wonders why the Crimson Dragon won't appear. Jack then theorizes that in order for the Crimson Dragon to appear, he must Duel Yusei again.
  • In episode 15, Jack summons this monster and uses it to entertain the crowd when the Fortune Cup tournament is about to start. Jack and this monster soon stop at the center of the stadium. After this happens, the contestants rise out of the stadium and are introduced by MC.
  • In episode 23, this card appears in a flashback Rex Goodwin has when he reminds Jack that he wants to see the clash between this card and "Stardust Dragon" and feel the energy that it will release.
  • In episode 25, Jack uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Yusei. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Twin-Sword Marauder" (who was Level 5 due to it being affected by "Powerful Rebirth") with "Dark Tinker" (who is Level 3 in the anime). In the next episode, this card attacks and destroys Yusei's "Junk Warrior". Later "Stardust Dragon" attacks this card, but Jack activates "Tuner's Mind" to return this card to the Extra Deck and revive "Twin-Sword Marauder" and "Dark Tinker" in Defense Position. Due to the final effect of "Tuner's Mind", "Stardust Dragon" (whose ATK was 3300 due to the first granted effect of "Hyper Synchron") is forced to attack and destroy "Dark Tinker". On Jack's next turn, he Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Twin-Sword Marauder" with "Hyper Synchron" (who Jack Special Summoned from Yusei's Graveyard to his side of the field via "Tuner Capture"). Since Jack sent "Hyper Synchron" to the Graveyard for the Synchro Summon of a Dragon-type Synchro Monster, this card gains 800 ATK and it is granted immunity to destruction by battle. This card then attacks "Stardust Dragon", but "Stardust Dragon" is not destroyed due to the second granted effect of "Hyper Synchron", however Yusei still takes Battle Damage. Jack then activates "Fiend Cannon" to inflict 500 damage to Yusei since his monster failed to destroy "Stardust Dragon" by battle. On Yusei's next turn, he activates "Speed Spell - Silver Contrails" to increase the ATK of "Stardust Dragon" by 1000 during this turn's Battle Phase. "Stardust Dragon" then attacks this card, but this card is not destroyed due to the second granted effect of "Hyper Synchron", however Jack still takes Battle Damage. "Synchro Blast" then inflicts 500 damage to Jack after damage calculation. At the end of the Battle Phase, the effect of "Silver Contrails" expires. Later this card attacks "Stardust Dragon", but "Stardust Dragon" is not destroyed, however Yusei still takes Battle Damage. Yusei then activates "Crossline Counter" to increase the ATK of "Stardust Dragon" equal to twice the Battle Damage he took and force this card to attack it again. This card is not destroyed, but Jack still takes Battle Damage. On the last turn of the Duel, Yusei activates "Speed Spell - Final Attack" to double the ATK of "Stardust Dragon". "Stardust Dragon" then attacks this card, but This card is not destroyed, however Jack still takes Battle Damage. Jack's Life Points then dropped to 0, winning Yusei the Duel.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card is shown in a flashback Jack has when he reminds Rex Goodwin he used him to create a reason for us to leave Satellite. Jack is shown using this card to scare off some bullies that were attacking Rally Dawson.

  • In episode 57, this card appears in a flashback Rex Goodwin has when he explains to Crow Hogan that ever since he was little, his brother was a genius and he was proud of that, however Roman Goodwin was forced to carry the power of unbelievable destiny. Roman's men fire at Dr. Fudo to stop him. One of the blasts hit Dr. Fudo, causing him to drop "Ancient Fairy Dragon". A wounded Dr. Fudo gives Rex the three Signer Dragons he saved and tells him to shut down the Ener-D Reactor. Rex agrees and goes to try and shut down the reactor.
  • In episode 58, this card was shown within the vision Carly shows to Jack when she activates "Enlightenment" and claims this is what will happen when he loses and becomes one of the Dark Signers. In the said vision, Carly and Jack, as Dark Signers defeat and destroy the Signer Dragons and the Crimson Dragon. Jack nearly got consumed by it until he notices Carly's broken glasses. • In episode 59, Jack uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Carly Carmine. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Vice Dragon" with "Dark Resonator". Carly then activates "Class Change" to increase the Level of "Fortune Lady Earth" (whose ATK was 2800 due to its first effect) by one, increasing its ATK and DEF by an additional 400. The last effect of "Fortune Lady Earth" then activates, inflicting 400 damage to Jack. Jack then activates "Speed Spell - Half Seize" to halve the ATK of "Fortune Lady Earth" and increase his Life Points by the amount of ATK "Fortune Lady Earth" lost. This card then attacks and destroys "Fortune Lady Earth". On the final turn of the Duel, Jack tunes this card and "Battle Fader" with "Majestic Dragon" in order to Synchro Summon "Majestic Red Dragon".

He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Mad Archfiend" and "Magic Hole Golem" with "Sinister Sprocket". Jack then activates "Half Straight" to halve this card's ATK until his next Standby Phase. Since this card's ATK is lower than that of the ATK of the strongest monster Goodwin controls ("Sun Dragon Inti"), "Half Straight" allows this card to attack directly this turn, but Goodwin activates the first effect of "Sun Dragon Inti" to reduce its ATK to 0 until the End Phase. This nullifies the effect of "Half Straight" (as the strongest monster on Goodwin's field is now "Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca"). Yusei then activates "Scrubbed Raid" and tells Jack to activate the effect of "Scrubbed Raid", but Jack uses this card to attack and destroy "Sun Dragon Inti". This activates the latter's effect, destroying this card and inflicting its ATK as damage to Jack. Goodwin then activates the final effect of "Sun Dragon Inti" to revive his "Moon Dragon Quilla". Jack uses this card during his practice Turbo Duel against a hologram Turbo Duelist. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Big Piece Golem" with "Dark Resonator". This card then attacks directly, winning Jack the Duel. Crow and Yusei scolded Jack for not using "Trust Guardian" even though it was in his hand. Jack claims that "Trust Guardian" does not fit his battling style and after an argument with Yusei, Crow, and Bruno, Jack leaves without another word.
    • This card is also shown on the monitor showing the Fake Jack's actions. He was using this card to help him hurt Turbo Duelists that were driving out at night and Dueling.
    • After the Fake Jack broke out the real Jack from his imprisonment, Jack goes off to find the criminal that framed him. Jack takes this card out and thinks to himself that he won't forgive anyone who tarnishes his name or this card's. He vows to capture the criminal with his own hands.
  • In episode 84, the real Jack and the fake Jack use this card during their Turbo Duel against each other. Jack Synchro Summons his copy by tuning "Vice Dragon" with "Trust Guardian". Since Jack used "Trust Guardian" for this card's Synchro Summon, it is granted the ability to avoid being destroyed by reducing its ATK by 400 at the end of the Damage Step or after an effect that destroys monsters is resolved. This card then attacks "Archfiend Interceptor". This activates the effect of "Archfiend Interceptor", inflicting 500 damage to Jack. This card then destroys "Archfiend Interceptor". Later the fake Synchro Summons his own copy by tuning "Vice Dragon" with "Flare Resonator". Since "Flare Resonator" was used for the fake's copy's Synchro Summon, the fake's copy gains 300 ATK. The fake's copy then attacks Jack's copy, but Jack activates the "Trust Guardian"-granted effect of "Red Dragon Archfiend" at the end of the Damage Step to prevent it from being destroyed. On Jack's next turn, his copy attacks the fake's copy. Jack then activates "Assault Spirits", equipping it to this card. He then activates the effect of "Assault Spirits" to send "Twin-Shield Defender" from his hand to the Graveyard and increase this card's ATK by the ATK of "Twin-Shield Defender" until the End Phase. Jack activates the "Trust Guardian"-granted effect of "Red Dragon Archfiend" at the end of the Damage Step to prevent it from being destroyed, so only the fake's copy was destroyed. At the End Phase, the effect of "Assault Spirits" expires. Later the fake sends "Assault Spirits" to the Graveyard in order to Special Summon "Trap Eater". The fake then Synchro Summons another copy by tuning "Small Piece Golem" (who was Level 4 due to "Powerful Rebirth") with "Trap Eater". Since the fake performed a successful Synchro Summon, he Special Summons "Synchro Magnet". The fake then Synchro Summons a third copy by tuning "Big Piece Golem" with "Synchro Magnet". The fake activates "Reincarnation Ring" to Tribute "Medium Piece Golem" and revive this card. One of the fake's copies then attacks Jack's copy, but Jack activates the "Trust Guardian"-granted effect of "Red Dragon Archfiend" at the end of the Damage Step to prevent it from being destroyed. Another of the fake's copies then attacks Jack's copy, but Jack activates the "Trust Guardian"-granted effect of "Red Dragon Archfiend" at the end of the Damage Step to prevent it from being destroyed. The fake's last "Red Dragon Archfiend" then attacks Jack's "Red Dragon Archfiend", but Jack activates "Ray of Hope" to halve the Battle Damage he takes. Jack then activates the "Trust Guardian"-granted effect of "Red Dragon Archfiend" at the end of the Damage Step to prevent it from being destroyed. Later Jack tunes this card and "Dark Bug" with "Majestic Dragon" in order to Synchro Summon "Majestic Red Dragon". Jack then activates the effect of "Majestic Red Dragon" to negate the effects of one of the fake's copies and increase the ATK of "Majestic Red Dragon" by the negated copy's ATK. "Majestic Red Dragon" then attacks and destroys the fake's purple copy, winning Jack the Duel.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Yusei has when he notes to Akiza Izinski that when he and Crow saw Jack, he just smirked and drove off.
    • This episode not only revealed that the fake had three copies of this card, but that his entire Deck was created by Lester. Upon the fake's defeat, the Deck disintegrates into nothing.
    • Two copies of this card also fell out of the Fake Jack Atlas' Deck after the real Jack defeated him.

This card then attacks "Uni-Horned Familiar", but Andre activates the effect of "Uni-Horned Familiar" to banish "Uni-Horned Familiar" and force this card to attack by banishing "Monoceros". Andre then activates "Different Dimension Barrier - Lost Force" to negate the attack and inflict damage to Jack equal to this card's ATK. Later Andre activates the effect of "Thunder Unicorn" to reduce the ATK of every monster Jack controls by 500 for every monster Andre controls except "Thunder Unicorn". Since Andre controls two other monsters, this card loses 1000 ATK. "Thunder Unicorn" then attacks and destroys this card. Later Jack activates "Rage Resynchro" to revive this card with 500 more ATK. This card then attacks "Thunder Unicorn", but Andre activates "Dimension Trap" to banish "Uni-Horned Familiar" and "Different Dimension Barrier - Lost Force" from his field and Graveyard in order to activate the effect of "Different Dimension Barrier - Lost Force" as the effect of "Dimension Trap". Jack then activates "Overpower" to negate the effect of "Dimension Trap" and destroy it. This card then destroys "Thunder Unicorn". After Jack loses the Duel, it immediately goes to Andre's End Phase due to the rulings of the WRGP. Shortly after, this card is destroyed due to the last effect of "Rage Resynchro".
  • In episode 103, four copies of this card appear in a flashback Jack has when he notes to his friends that he felt real damage during his Duel against the Fake Jack Atlas.
  • In episode 106, Jack uses this card during the Battle Royale that was around Neo Domino City. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Vice Berserker with "Trap Eater". Since "Vice Berserker" was sent to the Graveyard for a Synchro Summon, its first effect activates, inflicting 2000 damage to Jack and increasing this card's ATK by 2000. This card then attacks and destroys "Ally of Justice Clausolas". The Diablo Duelbot that took the damage then dropped out, so Jack and Kaz both win in the area they were currently in.
  • In episode 108, Jack uses this card during his Turbo Duel against another Diablo Duelbot. This card attacks directly and wins Jack the Duel.
  • In episode 111, Jack uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Max (who was possessed by the Familiar of Red Nova at the timing). He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Vice Dragon" with "Dark Resonator". This card then attacks and destroys one of Max's three "Freedom Birds". This activates this card's first effect, destroying the two other "Freedom Birds". On Jack's next turn, this card attacks "Ancestor Bird" ( "Ancestor Bird" won't be destroyed due to its effect). This activates the effect of "Lancer Archfiend" which would allow this card to inflict piercing to Max, but Max then two "Smoke Mirrors" to increase the DEF of "Ancestor Bird" by the ATK of this card twice, making its DEF 6000. The attack fails, causing Jack's Duel Runner to catch fire and spiral out of control until he veers off course and crashes. This is enough for Greiger to call the Duel off.
    • This card also appears within a series of flashbacks Jack has when he remembers his loss against Andre and he notes that he needs to find a way to evolve his dueling style.
  • In episode 113, Jack uses this card during his Ground Duel against the Familiar of Red Nova. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Big Piece Golem" with "Dark Resonator". This card then attacks directly, but the Familiar activates the second effect of "Abyss Boat Watchman" to revive "Abyss Guardian". Due to the second effect of "Abyss Kid", "Abyss Guardian" is destroyed. The first effect of "Abyss Guardian" then inflicts 800 damage to Jack. The second effect of "Abyss Guardian" then ends the Battle Phase. On Jack's next turn, this card attacks directly, but the Familiar activates the secondeffect of "Abyss Boat Watchman" to revive "Abyss Guardian". Jack then Special Summons "Extra Veiler" as a monster was Special Summoned during the Battle Phase. Due to the second effect of "Abyss Kid", "Abyss Guardian" is destroyed. This activates the first effect of "Abyss Guardian", but the effect of "Extra Veiler" redirects the damage Jack would take to the Familiar instead. The second effect of "Abyss Guardian" then ends the Battle Phase. On Jack's End Phase, this card's last effect destroys "Extra Veiler". On Jack's next Standby Phase, the Familiar activates "Battle Mania" to force this card to attack this turn. Jack then Normal Summons "Synchro Soldier" and activates its effect to banish this card until his next Standby Phase and inflict 600 damage to the Familiar. Since Jack activated the effect of "Synchro Soldier", he can't conduct his Battle Phase this turn, so the effect of "Battle Mania" is now useless. On Jack's next Standby Phase, this card returns to the field. Jack then Special Summons "Creation Resonator" from his hand as he controls a Synchro Monster. After Jack Normal Summons "Attack Gainer", he double tunes this card with "Creation Resonator" and "Attack Gainer" in order to Synchro Summon "Red Nova Dragon".
  • In episode 118, Jack uses this card during his Ground Duel against Dragan. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Vice Dragon" with "Dark Resonator". This card then attacks and destroys "Tanngrisnir of the Nordic Beasts". This activates the effect of "Tanngrisnir of the Nordic Beasts", Special Summoning two Nordic Beast Tokens onto Dragan's side of the field. Later "Thor, Lord of the Aesir" attacks this card, but the collision causes a massive shockwave that causes the arena to tremble like an earthquake was occurring. As such, Lazar called the Duel off.
  • In episode 119, Jack uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Yoshizo Hayashi. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Twin-Sword Marauder" and "Battle Fader" with "Sword Master". This card then attacks "Hand-Holding Genie" (whose DEF was 2800 due to its own effect), but Yoshizo activates "Castle Walls" to increase the DEF of "Hand-Holding Genie" by 500 until the end of the turn. The attack fails, but Jack activates this card's effect to destroy all of Yoshizo's Defense Position monsters, however Yoshizo activates "Scrum Force" to prevent his Defense Position monsters from being destroyed by card effects. On Jack's next turn, he activates "Speed Spell - Sonic Buster" to inflict damage to Yoshizo equal to half of this card's ATK. On Jack's next turn, he activates "Fiendish Chain" to negate the effects of "Hand-Holding Genie", reverting its DEF back to 1600. After Jack Normal Summons "Lancer Archfiend", this card attacks and destroys "Hand-Holding Genie". Due to the effect of "Lancer Archfiend", this card inflicts piercing damage to Yoshizo. In the next episode, Jack defeats Yoshizo. Due to the rulings of the WRGP, it immediately goes to Jack's End Phase. This card's second effect then destroys "Lancer Archfiend" as it didn't attack this turn. Yoshizo then passes the baton to Jinbei Tanigawa who proceeds in Dueling Jack.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Jack has when he claims to his friends that they will face their real opponent in the next round which is Team Ragnarok.

Jack then activates "Overgain" to increase this card's ATK by 1000 this turn, but not allowing it to attack this turn. Jack then activates "Shockwave" to destroy this card and inflict damage to both players equal to this card's ATK, but Jinbei activates "Gift of the Mystical Elf" to increase his Life Points by 300 for each monster on the field. Since there are six monsters on the field, Jinbei gains 1800 Life Points. The effect of "Shockwave" continues and Jack loses. Jack then passes the baton to Crow Hogan who proceeds in Dueling Jinbei.
  • In episode 123, this card appears in a flashback Dragan has when he tells Jack Atlas the last Duel they had was rigged by Rex Goodwin and if he had not been told to lose on purpose, he wouldn't have held back and lost. Jack uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Dragan. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Power Breaker" with "Top Runner". This card then attacks "Garmr of the Nordic Beasts". Dragan was about to activate "Nordic Relic Brisingamen" which would allow him to win the Duel, but he remembered Lazar told him he will only get the money for his father's operation if he lost the Duel and thus chose not to activate his Trap Card. "Red Dragon Archfiend" then destroys "Garmr of the Nordic Beasts". The rest of the Duel is not shown, but Dragan lost so he could get the money for his father's operation.
  • In episode 124, Jack uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Dragan. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Power Breaker" with "Top Runner". This card then attacks "Garmr of the Nordic Beasts", but Dragan activates "Nordic Relic Brisingamen" to make the ATK of "Garmr" the same as this card's ATK. Dragan explains that if "Garmr" manages to destroy this card, "Nordic Relic Brisingamen" will inflict damage to Jack equal to this card's ATK. Jack then activates "Reaction Summon" to revive "Top Runner". Due to the effect of "Top Runner", this card gains 600 ATK. This card then destroys "Garmr". Dragan then activates the effect of "Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts" to Special Summon it from his hand. "Top Runner" then attacks "Tanngnjostr". The attack fails, but Jack did this to keep "Top Runner" from being destroyed by this card's second effect. Later Dragan activates the effect of "Thor, Lord of the Aesir" to negate the effects of "Top Runner" this turn and grant "Thor" those effects until the End Phase. Because of that, this card's ATK returns to its original value while the ATK of "Thor" increases by 600. "Thor" then attacks and destroys this card. In the next episode, Jack activates "Descending Lost Star" to revive this card with its effects negated, its DEF reduced to 0, and its Level reduced by one. Jack then double tunes this card with "Top Runner" and "Barrier Resonator" in order to Synchro Summon "Red Nova Dragon". Since there are two Tuners in Jack's Graveyard, "Red Nova Dragon" gains 1000 ATK. "Red Nova Dragon" then attacks "Thor", but Dragan activates "Raging Sacred Curse" to reduce the ATK and DEF of "Red Nova Dragon" by 2000. Dragan then activates "Solemn Authority" to prevent "Thor" from being affected by Jack's Trap Cards. Jack then activates "Burning Rebirth" to Tribute "Red Nova Dragon" and revive this card as well as equip it with this card. Jack then activates the final effect of "Burning Rebirth" to send "Trap Eater" from his hand to the Graveyard and sending "Burning Rebirth" to the Graveyard in order to revive "Red Nova Dragon". Since "Burning Rebirth" was removed from the field, this card is destroyed.

  • In episode 130, this card appears in a series of flashbacks that Akiza Izinski, Leo, and Luna have when they write about Jack Atlas in the report Carly Carmine was writing about Team 5D's. Their dialogue is interrupted by Carly and Mina Simington due to them arguing over about who knew Jack longer.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Mina Simington has when she tells Akiza, Leo, and Luna that it was thanks to the Signers that New Domino City became united.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Leo has when he reveals to Carly that Jack and Yusei have obtained new powers for the battle against Iliaster.
  • In episode 131, Jack uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Lester. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Gear Changer" (who was Level 5 due to Jack using its effect to increase its Level by the Level of "Sky Core") with "Dark Resonator". Jack then Normal Summons "Trust Guardian". He then Special Summons "Red Nova" via its own effect as he had this card face-up on his side of the field. Jack then double tunes this card with "Trust Guardian" and "Red Nova" in order to Synchro Summon "Red Nova Dragon".
  • In episode 141, Jack uses this card during his Ground Duel with Leo and Luna against Aporia. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Power Giant" (who was Level 5 due to its second effect reducing its Level by the Level of "Synchro Soldier") with "Dark Resonator". Leo then activates "Power-Up Adapter" to equip it onto "Morphtronic Staplen" and increase this card's ATK by the ATK of "Morphtronic Staplen", but Aporia activates "Power Gravity" to equip the latter to "Meklord Army of Wisel", decrease this card's ATK to 0, and increase the ATK of "Meklord Army of Wisel" by the amount this card would have gained. Later "Meklord Army of Wisel" attacks and destroys this card. Since this card was removed from the field, "Power-Up Adapter" is destroyed. In Two episodes later, Jack activates "Descending Lost Star" to revive this card with its effects negated, its DEF reduced to 0, and its Level reduced by one. After Jack Special Summons "Creation Resonator" through its own effect and Normal Summons "Dread Dragon", he double tunes this card with "Creation Resonator" and "Dread Dragon" in order to Synchro Summon "Red Nova Dragon".
  • In episode 147, Jack gives this card to Yusei for his upcoming Duel against Z-one.
  • In episode 152, Jack uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Yusei. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Star Gatherer" (who was Level 6 due to Jack using its effect to make its Level the Level of "Stardust Dragon" minus one) with "Synchron Resonator". This card then attacks "Stardust Dragon", but Yusei activates "Star Excursion" to banish both battling monsters until the end of Jack's third Battle Phase after the activation of "Star Excursion". In the next episode, the effect of "Star Excursion" expires after "Crimson Blader" fails to destroy "Sonic Chick" in battle due to the latter's own effect. Because of this, this banished card and "Stardust Dragon" are Special Summoned to their respective owners' side of the field in Attack Position. Jack then Normal Summons "Chain Resonator" and activates the latter's effect to Special Summon "Dark Resonator" from his Deck. Jack then double tunes this card with "Dark Resonator" and "Chain Resonator" in order to Synchro Summon "Red Nova Dragon". In the following episode, Jack revives this card via the last effect of "Red Cocoon". On the last turn of the Duel, "Junk Warrior" (whose ATK was 5500 due to its own effect) attacks and destroys this card, winning Yusei the Duel.

Evolving Duel! Stardust VS Red Demons[edit]

  • Jack uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Yusei. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Vice Dragon" with "Dark Resonator". This card then attacks "Shield Wing". The attack fails as "Shield Wing" can't be destroyed in battle twice per turn, but Jack activates the first effect of this card to destroy "Shield Wing". On Jack's next turn, this card attacks "Stardust Dragon", but Yusei activates "Trick Battle" to destroy this card at the start of the Damage Step without applying damage calculation. In response, Jack activates "Assault Mode Activate" to Tribute this card and Special Summon "Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode". On the last turn of the Duel, both "Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode" and "Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode" are destroyed in a Double KO. Jack and Yusei then activate the last effect of their /Assault Mode monsters to Special Summon this card and "Stardust Dragon" from their Graveyards. Yusei then activates the last effect of "Skill Successor" to banish it from his Graveyard and increase the ATK of "Stardust Dragon" by 800 until the End Phase. "Stardust Dragon" then attacks and destroys this card. Yusei then activates "Synchro Destructor" to inflict damage to Jack equal to half of this card's ATK twice and win the Duel.
