Monster appearances[edit]

  • In episode 117, this card is shown when Team Ragnarok take out their Aesir cards. Halldor notes that even though a shockwave changed history, nobody besides themselves were affected and that was possibly because the three Aesirs were protecting them.
  • In episode 119, this card appears in a flashback Jack has when he claims to his friends that they will face their real opponent in the next round which is Team Ragnarok.
  • In episode 123, this card appears in a flashback Halldor has when he explains to Team 5D's how he, Dragan, and Broder found the three Aesirs, how they got the Rune Eyes and how they formed themselves into a team. Halldor found this card next to where Dragan's father was resting. Dragan's father told Halldor to give this card and Dragan's pride back to him. After finding Dragan and getting him off of a mountain he was hiking, Halldor gave this card back to Dragan since it rightfully belonged to him. Dragan refused to get this card back as he threw away his pride as a duelist. However Halldor states that his father and this card wants him to have it back. Halldor gave this card back to him and told him to use this card and he shall regain his pride as a Duelist. Later Halldor found "Loki, Lord of the Aesir" using "Odin, Father of the Aesir", but Broder stole it and tried to get away with it. He was pursued by Dragan, Halldor and Sebastian, but eventually Broder hit a boulder and crashed, however Broder's Rune Eye saved him from being killed. Broder was about to give "Loki" back, but Halldor and Dragan showed their Aesir cards to him. Halldor states that he was chosen to be "Loki's" wielder. He then convinced Broder to join him and Dragan, so they can stop the upcoming threat. All three would hold their new signature cards up and vow to defeat any evil force that would come in the future.
    • This card was also shown in a flashback Dragan has when he tells Jack the last Duel they had was rigged by Rex Goodwin and if he had not been told to lose on purpose, he wouldn't have held back and lost. After Dragan lost the Duel, he gave this card to his father as he felt he didn't deserve to have this card for what happened in that Duel.
  • In episode 124, Dragan uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Jack. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts" and "Tanngrisnir of the Nordic Beasts" with "Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts". Dragan then activates this card's effect to negate the effects of "Top Runner" for this turn and grant this card the effects of "Top Runner" for this turn. Because of this, the ATK of "Red Dragon Archfiend" goes back to 3000 while this card gains 600 ATK. This card then attacks and destroys "Red Dragon Archfiend". In the next episode, this card's effect expires on Dragan's End Phase. On Dragan's next turn, he activates this card's effect to negate the effects of "Top Runner" and grant this card the effects of "Top Runner" for this turn. Dragan then activates "Divine Relic Mjollnir" to allow this card to attack twice this turn. This card then attacks and destroys "Barrier Resonator" and "Top Runner". "Divine Relic Mjollnir" then inflicts 2000 damage to Jack (1000 for each monster this card destroys this turn) Jack then activates "Tuner's Reflect" to revive "Barrier Resonator" and "Top Runner" and inflict their total ATK as damage to Dragan. On Dragan's End Phase, this card's effect expires. Later "Red Nova Dragon" (whose ATK was 4500 due to its own effect) attacks this card, but Dragan activates "Raging Sacred Curse" to reduce the ATK and DEF of "Red Nova Dragon" by 2000. Dragan then activates "Solemn Authority" to prevent this card from being affected by Jack's Trap Cards for two turns. Jack then activates "Burning Rebirth" to Tribute "Red Nova Dragon" and revive "Red Dragon Archfiend" as well as equip it with "Burning Rebirth". Jack then activates the second effect of "Burning Rebirth" to send "Trap Eater" from his hand to the Graveyard and send "Burning Rebirth" to the Graveyard in order to revive "Red Nova Dragon". Since "Burning Rebirth" was removed from the field, "Red Dragon Archfiend" is destroyed. Since there are now three Tuners in Jack's Graveyard, "Red Nova Dragon" gains 1500 ATK. "Red Nova Dragon" then attacks and destroys this card, winning Jack the Duel. Due to the rulings of the WRGP, it immediately goes to Jack's End Phase. This card's last effect then activates, reviving itself as well as inflicting 800 damage to Jack.
  • In episode 126, Dragan passes the baton to Broder who proceeds in Dueling Jack. Due to the rulings of the WRGP, this card is placed onto Broder's side of the field as his card. Broder uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Jack. Broder activates this card's effect to negate the effects of "Red Nova Dragon" and granting this card the effects of "Red Nova Dragon" until the End Phase. This causes the ATK of "Red Nova Dragon" to return to its original value. This card then attacks "Red Nova Dragon". Both monsters are then destroyed in a Double KO. On Broder's End Phase, this card's last effect revives itself and inflicts 800 damage to Jack, defeating him. Jack then passes the baton to Crow Hogan who proceeds in Dueling Broder.
  • In episode 126, Broder uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Crow. Later Crow activates the effect of "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind" to halve this card's ATK and DEF until the End Phase. After Crow Synchro Summons "Blackwing Armor Master", he uses "Blackwing Armor Master" to attack and destroy this card. "Blackwing - Sirocco the Dawn" then attacks directly. Broder then activates "The Golden Apples" to increase his Life Points by the Battle Damage he took this turn and Special Summon a "Malus Token" that has ATK and DEF equal to the amount of Life Points Broder just gained. On Crow's End Phase, this card's last effect revives itself and inflicts 800 damage to Crow. On Broder's next turn, he activates this card's effect to negate the effects of "Blackwing Armor Master" and grant this card the effects of "Blackwing Armor Master" until the End Phase. After "Malus Token" attacks and destroys "Sirocco the Dawn", this card attacks and destroys "Blackwing Armor Master". Crow then Special Summons "Blackwing - Brisote the Tailwind" via its own effect as two Blackwings were destroyed in the same turn. Crow then activates "Black Return" to increase his Life Points by this card's ATK and return this card to Broder's hand, but Broder activates "Nordic Relic Laevateinn" to destroy this card. This negates the effect of "Black Return" as it has lost its original target. On Broder's End Phase, this card's last effect revives itself and inflicts 800 damage to Crow. Later Crow activates the effect of "Gale the Whirlwind" to halve this card's ATK and DEF until the End Phase. After Crow Synchro Summons "Black-Winged Dragon", he uses "Black-Winged Dragon" to attack and destroy this card. On Crow's End Phase, this card's last effect revives itself and inflicts 800 damage to Crow, but Crow uses the first effect of "Black-Winged Dragon" to place a Black Feather Counter on "Black-Winged Dragon" in order to avoid damage, however this causes "Black-Winged Dragon" to lose 700 ATK. Later "Loki, Lord of the Aesir" attacks "Black-Winged Dragon", but Crow activates "Black Sonic" to banish all of Broder's Attack Position monsters, however Broder then activates the effect of "Loki" to negate the effect of "Black Sonic" and destroy it. "Loki" then destroys "Black-Winged Dragon". This card then attacks and destroys "Blackwing - Blizzard the Far North". In the next episode, Crow and Broder's Duel ends in a Draw. Crow and Broder then pass the baton to Yusei Fudo and Halldor who proceed in Dueling against each other.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in Broder's backstory when he explains to Crow that he was once a treasure hunter before he found a bunch of kids that were left for dead due to a war caused by Iliaster. He wished to find a way to help the kids and Iliaster, so he became their caretaker. After he was given the Rune Eye by "Loki" after meeting Halldor and Dragan, the three of them became Team Ragnarok.
  • In episode 127, Halldor uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Yusei. In the next episode, Halldor activates the effect of "Odin, Father of the Aesir" to make the Aesirs immune to the effects of Spells and Traps for this turn, thus making them immune to the effects of "Monster Chain". "Loki, Lord of the Aesir" and this card then attacks and destroys Yusei's two "Compass Tokens". Later Halldor activates the effect of "Odin" to make the Aesirs unaffected by Spells and Traps for one turn. Yusei, in response, Tributes "Majestic Star Dragon" to negate the effect of "Odin" and destroy all cards Halldor controls. On Halldor's End Phase, Halldor activates the last effects of the Aesirs to revive them, but Yusei activates "Wave Rebound" to negate the summons and inflict damage to Halldor equal to the ATK of the Aesirs, however Halldor activates the effect of "Gjallarhorn" from his Graveyard in order to return it from his Graveyard to his Spell and Trap Card Zone and activate it. In the next episode, Halldor explains that due to the effect of "Gjallarhorn", the Special Summoning effects of the Aesirs can't be negated this turn, so "Wave Rebound" is wasted. With the Aesirs now revived, their secondary last effects activate. This card inflicts 800 damage to Yusei, "Loki, Lord of the Aesir" allows Halldor to add "Odin's Eye" from his Graveyard to his hand, and "Odin, Father of the Aesir" allows Halldor to draw one card. On Halldor's next turn, this card attacks "Stardust Dragon", but Yusei banishes "Stardust Phantom" from his Graveyard to grant "Stardust Dragon" the ability to avoid being destroyed in battle by giving up 800 of its ATK and DEF. Yusei then activates the "Stardust Phantom"-granted effect of "Stardust Dragon" to decrease its ATK and DEF by 800 and prevent it from being destroyed by this card. Later "Shooting Star Dragon" (whose ATK was 4300 due to "Speed Spell - Star Force") attacks and destroys the three Aesirs (after Yusei activates the first effect of "Shooting Star Dragon" and it gains three attacks). On Yusei's End Phase, the ATK of "Shooting Star Dragon" returns to its original value and the Aesirs revive themselves via their own effects. The secondary last effects of the Aesirs then activate. This card inflicts 800 damage to Yusei, "Loki" allows Halldor to add "Gleipnir, the Fetters of Fenrir" from his Graveyard to his hand, and "Odin" allows Halldor to draw one card. After Halldor Normal Summons "Tyr of the Nordic Champions", he activates "Odin's Eye". Halldor then Tributes "Tyr" to prevent the Aesirs from having their effects be negated by his card effects this turn. He then uses the effect of "Odin's Eye" to look at one of Yusei's set cards, but Yusei activates "Trick Mirror" to activate the effect of "Odin's Eye" as its effect and stops "Odin's Eye" from being activated, which means the Aesirs have their effects negated and Halldor must show all cards he currently has in his hand to Yusei. "Odin" attacks "Shooting Star Dragon", but Yusei activates the third effect of "Shooting Star Dragon" to banish it until the End Phase and negate the attack. Halldor attempts to attack with this card or "Loki", but Yusei activates "Zero Force" to reduce the ATK of the Aesirs to 0. On Halldor's End Phase, the last effect of "Gjallarhorn" banishes itself and the three Aesirs from the field and inflict the combined ATK of the Aesirs as damage to Yusei, but since their combined ATK was 0, Yusei takes no damage. Since the Aesirs were banished, Halldor could no longer revive them through their own effects.
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in Halldor's backstory when he explains to Yusei that he has been waiting for this battle.
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in Halldor's explanation when he explains that Yusei planned to activate "Wave Rebound" when Halldor activates the effect of "Odin" to make the Aesirs immune to Yusei's card effects for one turn and Yusei Tributes "Majestic Star Dragon" to negate the effect of "Odin" and destroy the three Aesirs.
  • In episode 138, Dragan used this card as part of Team Ragnarok's plan on using the three Aesirs, "Rainbow Bridge Bifrost", the old Ener-D reactor, and Team Ragnarok's Duel Runners to create a bridge for Yusei to use in order to get to the Divine Temple. The plan succeeds and Yusei and his allies use the bridge to get to the Divine Temple. Eventually Team Tagnarok's Duel Runners explode which causes the bridge to dissipate away, however Team 5D's and Vizor are able to make it to the Divine Temple before the bridge disappears.
