In the anime, this card's effect activated even if Wroughtweiler was destroyed by an effect or sent back to the deck.

In episode 8, Jaden Yuki uses this card during his Duel against Zane Truesdale. He summons this card via the effect of "A Hero Emerges". A replay then occurs and Zane uses his "Cyber Twin Dragon" to attack and destroy "Elemental HERO Thunder Giant" and this card since "Cyber Twin Dragon" can attack twice. Jaden then activates this card's effect to add "Elemental HERO Clayman" and "Polymerization" from his Graveyard to his hand.

In episode 14, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Jinzo. He summons this card in Defense Position. "Jinzo" then attacks and destroys this card. Jaden then activates this card's effect to add "Elemental HERO Clayman" and "Polymerization" from his Graveyard to his hand.

In episode 17, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Damon. He summons this card in Defense Position. "Drawler" (whose ATK was 2000 due to its own effect) then attacks and destroys this card. Jaden then uses this card's effect to add "Elemental HERO Burstinatrix" and "Polymerization" from his Graveyard to his hand.

In episode 18, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Dimitri while the latter was using Yugi Muto's deck. He summons this card in Defense Position. "Dark Magician" then attacks and destroys this card. Jaden then uses this card's effect to return "Polymerization" and "Elemental HERO Burstinatrix" from his Graveyard to his hand.

In episode 25, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Chazz Princeton. He summons this card in Defense Position. Chazz then sends "Armed Dragon LV3" from his hand to the Graveyard in order to activate the effect of "Armed Dragon LV7", destroying this card, "Elemental HERO Avian", and "Elemental HERO Bubbleman". Jaden then uses this card's effect to return "Burstinatrix" and "Polymerization" from his Graveyard to his hand.

In episode 27, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Gravekeeper's Chief. He summons this card in Defense Position. Later "Gravekeeper's Curse" (whose ATK was 1300 due to "Necrovalley") attacks and destroys this card. Jaden then tries to activate this card's effect, but the Chief explains that "Necrovalley" forbids both players from activating or using card effects that involve removing cards from the Graveyard.

In episode 30, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Nightshroud. He summons this card in Defense Position. On Nightshroud's turn, "Spear Dragon" attacks and destroys this card. "Spear Dragon" then inflicts piercing damage to Jaden. Jaden then activates this card's effect to return "Elemental HERO Wildheart" and "Polymerization" from his Graveyard to his hand.

In episode 49, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Kagemaru. He summons this card in Defense Position. "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder" then attacks and destroys this card. The effect of "Hamon" then activates, inflicting 1000 damage to Jaden. Jaden then activates this card's effect to return "Elemental HERO Bubbleman" and "Polymerization" from his Graveyard to his hand.

In episode 58, this card can be seen when Jaden is shown shuffling his Deck in the Ra Yellow Dorm.

In episode 59, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Aster Phoenix. He summons this card in Attack Position. Jaden then uses this card to attack and destroy "Destiny HERO - Doom Lord". Aster then activates "Destiny Signal" to Special Summon "Destiny HERO - Captain Tenacious". Later "Destiny HERO - Diamond Dude" attacks and destroys this card. Jaden then activates this card's effect to return "Bubbleman" and "Polymerization" from his Graveyard to his hand.

In episode 66, this card appears in a flashback Jaden has when he sees Wheeler as Zane which makes Jaden remember his first Duel against Zane.

In episode 72, during Jaden's duel against Howard X Miller, Jaden is forced to send this card from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard via the effect of "Monster Register".

In episode 74, during Jaden's Duel against Princess Rose, this card is shown when Jaden searches his Deck after he activates "Hero Signal".

In episode 102, during Jaden's Duel against Sartorius, this card is seen when Jaden searches his Deck via "E - Emergency Call".

In episode 178, this card can be seen in the background when Jaden makes his speech to Nightshroud about the bonds people can make with their Decks.

In episode 179, this card is shown in a flashback Alexis Rhodes has when she explains to her classmates that three years ago all graduating classmates knocked on the door of Duel Academy with their own hopes and dreams and it was here that the students met many friends and teachers and learned numerous things through Duels.
