The change to "Jinzo - Returner" was mainly to appeal to a younger audience and to keep consistent naming with the renaming of "Android - Psycho-Shocker" to "Jinzo" but was also mandatory to avoid the effect of cards like "Rescueroid" which affect "Vehicroid" (ロイド) monsters.
