Card Rulings:Blizzard Princess
TCG Rulings
- The following ruling applies to Dverg of the Nordic Alfar, Constellar Pollux, Evilswarm Castor, Dodger Dragon, and Blizzard Princess:
- If you Normal Summon them successfully, and their effects are not negated from the moment they step on to the field by something like Skill Drain, then for the rest of the turn their effect is applied, regardless of what happens to the monster.[1]
OCG Rulings
- The text "You can Tribute Summon or Set this card by Tributing 1 Spellcaster-Type monster" of "Blizzard Princess" is not treated as the effect of an Effect Monster.[2]
- The effect of "Blizzard Princess" does not start a Chain Link.[2]
- If "Skill Drain" is active when you Normal Summon "Blizzard Princess", then the effect "your opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards" is negated, so your opponent may activate Spell or Trap Cards. Also, your opponent may still activate Spell or Trap Cards even if, afterwards, the effect of "Skill Drain" is no longer applied.[3]
- Suppose you use "Exchange" to get your opponent's "Blizzard Princess" into your hand, and then you Normal Summon it while "Remove Brainwashing" is active. Even though "Blizzard Princess" immediately returns to your opponent's control, you are still the player who Normal Summoned "Blizzard Princess", so your opponent (the original owner of "Blizzard Princess") cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards.[4]
- After "Blizzard Princess" is Normal Summoned, its effect that prevents your opponent from activating Spell and Trap Cards is still applied even if "Blizzard Princess" is no longer face-up on the field.[5]
- If you Tribute Summon "The Tyrant Neptune" and it gains the effects of "Blizzard Princess", then the effect "your opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards" of "Blizzard Princess" is not applied, so your opponent can activate Spell and Trap Cards.[6]
