  • You can only declare the activation of this Spell Card as the first action you take at the start of your Main Phase.[1]
  • Even while the effect of "Calming Magic" is applying, the effect of "Evil Thorn" can be activated by Tributing it. In that case, the effect "inflict 300 damage to your opponent" is applied, but because "Calming Magic" prevents monsters from being Special Summoned, "you can Special Summon up to 2 "Evil Thorn" from your Deck in Attack Position" cannot be applied.[2]
  • Even while the effect of "Calming Magic" is applying, the effect of "Giant Germ" activates and makes a Chain Link. In that case, the effect "Inflict 500 damage to your opponent" is applied, but because "Calming Magic" prevents monsters from being Special Summoned, "you can Special Summon any number of "Giant Germs" from your Deck in face-up Attack Position" cannot be applied.[3]
