Q&A Rulings
- Q: A "Fireball Token" on my field Special Summoned by the effect of "Goka, the Pyre of Malice" is destroyed by battle or my opponent's card effect. At this time, can I activate the effect of my "Cataclysmic Scorching Sunburner"?
- A: Even when a FIRE Token is destroyed by battle or your opponent's card effect, you can activate the effect of "Cataclysmic Scorching Sunburner". In that case, you will Special Summon it from your hand normally, but since the destroyed Token was not sent to the Graveyard, you cannot apply the part of the effect that inflicts damage to your opponent.[2]
- Q: If my opponent activates the effect of "Cataclysmic Scorching Sunburner", can I chain the effect of "Performage Damage Juggler" and negate the activation?
- A: Since the effect of "Cataclysmic Scorching Sunburner" is one which the player chooses whether or not to inflict damage when the effect resolves, the effect of "Performage Damage Juggler" cannot be chained to it.[3]
