• Q: "Dimensional Barrier" was activated by declaring Xyz Monsters. In this case, if "Forbidden Lance" is activated by targeting an Xyz Monster whose effects are being negated by "Dimensional Barrier", what happens to its effects?

A: The effect of "Dimensional Barrier" negates the effects of the declared monster type as long as they remain face-up on the field, but if "Forbidden Lance" is activated so that a monster becomes unaffected by Spell/Trap effects, its effects are no longer negated. (It does not matter if "Dimensional Barrier" was resolved before or after Forbidden Lance.)

• Q: "Dimensional Barrier" was activated by declaring Ritual Monsters. In this situation, if a face-up "Amorphactor Pain, the Imagination Dracoverlord" on my field is sent to the Graveyard, and I activate its effect that Special Summons a “Dracoverlord” monster from my hand or Deck, is that effect negated?

A: The effect of "Dimensional Barrier" negates the effects of the declared monster type as long as they remain face-up on the field. In this scenario, if the effect of "Amorphactor Pain, the Imagination Dracoverlord" is activated when it is sent from the field to the Graveyard, even if "Dimensional Barrier" was activated by declaring Ritual Monsters, the effect is not negated.

• Q: "Dimensional Barrier" was activated by declaring Fusion Monsters. In this situation, if I activate the effect of "ABC-Dragon Buster" that Special Summons 3 of my LIGHT Machine-Type Union monsters by Tributing it, is that effect negated?

A: The effect of "Dimensional Barrier" negates the effects of the declared monster type as long as they remain face-up on the field. In this scenario, if the effect of "ABC-Dragon Buster" is activated by Tributing it, even if "Dimensional Barrier" was activated by declaring Fusion Monsters, the effect is not negated.

• Q: "Dimensional Barrier" was activated by declaring Synchro Monsters. In this case, if a Synchro Monster that was in face-down Defense Position prior to the activation of "Dimensional Barrier" is flipped face-up, what happens to its effects?

A: After "Dimensional Barrier" is activated, even if a monster with the declared monster type that was Set on the field is flipped face-up afterward, its effects will be negated by "Dimensional Barrier".

• Q: "Dimensional Barrier" was activated by declaring Fusion Monsters. In this situation, if my "Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal" is destroyed by my opponent's card, can I activate its effect and Special Summon a "Dante, Pilgrim of the Burning Abyss" ignoring the Summoning conditions?

A: In this scenario, if "Dimensional Barrier" was activated by declaring Fusion Monsters, neither player can Special Summon Fusion Monsters this turn, including by ways other than Fusion Summons. Therefore, if "Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal" is destroyed by your opponent's card, you cannot activate her effect unless you have a "Burning Abyss" monster in your Extra Deck other than a Fusion Monster.

• Q: "Magical Meltdown" is face-up in my Field Zone, and its effect prevents the activations of my cards and effects that perform Fusion Summons from being negated. In this situation, if I activate "Eidolon Summoning Magic", but my opponent chains "Dimensional Barrier" and declares Fusion Monster, what happens?

A: While the effect of "Magical Meltdown" is applying, the activations of your cards and effects that perform Fusion Summons are not negated, but "Dimensional Barrier" does not have an effect that negates activations. Therefore, when resolving "Eidolon Summoning Magic", since you cannot Special Summon Fusion Monsters because of the effect of "Dimensional Barrier", the Fusion Summon is not performed. (No Fusion Material monsters are sent to the Graveyard or banished.)

• Q: If "Dimensional Barrier" was activated by declaring Xyz, and its effect is applying this turn, can I activate "Halfway to Forever"?

A: While the effect of "Dimensional Barrier" is applying, if Xyz was declared, you cannot activate "Halfway to Forever".

• Q: I activate "Halfway to Forever", targeting an "Acorno" and a "Pinecono" in my Graveyard. If my opponent chains "Dimensional Barrier" and declares Xyz, how does the effect of "Halfway to Forever" resolve?

A: In this scenario, the effect of "Halfway to Forever" Special Summons the 2 targeted monsters normally, but since the effect of "Dimensional Barrier" is applying, you cannot perform an Xyz Summon afterward. ("Acorno" and "Pinecono" remain face-up on the field with their effects negated.)

• Q: When I declare a Monster Card type (Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz) with "Dimensional Barrier", can I only declare a type that is currently face-up on the field?

A: You can activate "Dimensional Barrier" by arbitrarily choosing 1 Monster Card type to declare. For example, even if there are no face-up Fusion Monsters on the field, you can still declare Fusion Monster, and the effect of "Dimensional Barrier" is applied normally. (During this turn, Fusion Monsters cannot be Special Summoned, and any Fusion Monsters that were face-down on the field will have their effects negated once they are flipped face-up.)

• Q: During my turn, when my opponent activates "Dimensional Barrier", I chain the effect of "D/D/D Flame High King Genghis" that negates the activation. If my opponent chains the effect of "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit", destroying "D/D/D Flame High King Genghis", how does its effect resolve?

A: Even if "D/D/D Flame High King Genghis" is no longer on the field when resolving its effect, it is applied normally. (In this scenario, the activation of your opponent's "Dimensional Barrier" is negated.)
