Card Rulings:Gold Sarcophagus
Contents
OCG Rulings
- While "Thunder King Rai-Oh" is on the field, you can still remove from play cards from your deck and you can still add cards to your hand which have been removed from play, so you can still activate "Gold Sarcophagus", etc, and afterwards the card will be added to your hand.[1]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[3] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. Mentions in Other Rulings
- Release from Stone: You can select a Rock-Type monster that is removed from play by "Gold Sarcophagus".
- Thunder King Rai-Oh: "Gold Sarcophagus", "Different Dimension Capsule", etc., can be activated and will resolve normally while "Thunder King Rai-Oh" is face-up on the field.
Judge List Rulings
- The selected card is placed in a face-up state when removed from play. The identity of the card is revealed when it is selected and removed from play. It is not like "Different Dimension Capsule".[2]
