FAQ Rulings
- When "Skill Drain" applies its effect, the ATK of a "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon" that was increased by its own effect returns to its original value. Afterwards, even if the effect of "Skill Drain" is no longer applied, the ATK remain at its original value. Furthermore, the effect of being unable to attack the opponent directly while this card has no Xyz Materials is also negated, and this card is able to attack the opponent directly.[2]

- Q: A "Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon" has negated the activation of a monster effect and gained ATK by its own effect. In this situation, if "Infinite Impermanence" is activated targeting that "Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon", and its effects are negated, what happens to the ATK it gained from its effect?
- A: The ATK increased from its own effect is no longer applied. If a monster effect increases or decreases ATK/DEF, and that effect can only be applied to itself, the effect will no longer apply when the monster's effects are negated (the ATK/DEF reverts to its previous value). The first effect of "Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon" is such an effect.
