Card Rulings:Soul Taker
OCG Rulings
- Destroying the targeted monster and gaining Life Points are not considered to happen simultaneously.[1]
- If the targeted monster is not destroyed, your opponent does not gain Life Points.[1]
- This card can also target a Token Monster or an "Embodiment of Apophis" treated as a monster. (The targeted monster is destroyed and your opponent gains 1000 Life Points.)[1]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[2] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. Mentions in Other Rulings
- Prime Material Dragon: "Prime Material Dragon's" second effect works like "My Body as a Shield". "Prime Material Dragon" can negate cards such as... "Soul Taker" (negates "Soul Taker" so you do not gain Life Points)...
