OCG Rulings

• The effect that Special Summons this card is a Trigger Effect that activates in the Graveyard. (It does not target.)

• This effect can optionally be activated when a Level 5 or higher Zombie monster(s) is Special Summoned to your Monster Zone by the effect of a Zombie monster. (It cannot be activated during the Damage Step.)

• Paying 2000 Life Points is a cost to activate this effect.

• The effect that makes your opponent send 1 card from their Deck to the Graveyard is an Ignition Effect. (It does not target. You declare 1 card type (Monster, Spell, or Trap) when this effect is activated.)

• Q: Can you activate the effect of a "Vampire Grace" in the Graveyard when you Special Summon "Goka, the Pyre of Malice" or "Vampire Grace"?

A: "If you control a FIRE monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand)" of "Goka, the Pyre of Malice" does not start a Chain Link, but since it is treated as a monster effect, you can activate the effect of a "Vampire Grace" in the Graveyard when you Special Summon "Goka, the Pyre of Malice".
"Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 "Vampire Lord" you control" of "Vampire Genesis" is not treated as a monster effect. Since "Vampire Genesis" is a Special Summon Monster, this is a Special Summoning procedure. Therefore, you cannot activate the effect of a "Vampire Grace" in the Graveyard when you Special Summon "Vampire Genesis".
