Card Rulings:Watapon
OCG Rulings
- This card's effect can be activated during the Damage Step.[1]
- If "Watapon" is added to the hand by a card effect that was activated at Chain Link 2 or higher, you can activate its effect after the chain resolves.[1]
- The effect of "Watapon" can be activated not only when the effect of "Dogu", etc. adds it to the hand, but also when it is added to the hand by drawing it with the effect of "Jar of Greed", etc.[1]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[2] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - If you draw "Watapon" by the effect of "Graceful Charity" you can Special Summon it to the field after you discard the two cards for "Graceful Charity".
- "Painful Choice", "Graceful Charity", and
"Witch of the Black Forest"[Notes 1] are all examples of the types of effects that will activate the effect of "Watapon".
Notes
- ↑ The latest print of "Witch of the Black Forest" uses Problem-Solving Card Text, which states that the player cannot activate the effects of cards with the same name as the added card for the rest of the turn. This difference is due to a major change in the functionality of "Witch of the Black Forest".
