• This card can be searched by "Trap Trick", "Trap Tracks", "Lady Labrynth of the Silver Castle", "Lilith, Lady of Lament", "Triple Tactics Thrust", "Angel of Blue Tears", "Farewelcome Labrynth", "Labrynth Set-Up", and other generic searchers.

• This card is a staple in Exodia Decks. If any of your Exodia limbs end up in the Graveyard, you can use this card to add them to your hand. However, you can't use it to add Exodia the Forbidden One since it's an Effect Monster. Exodia users should have a Dark Eruption in case this happens.

• Use this card to return 3 Ojamas to your hand.

• You can include this card in an Elemental Hero Deck, since 3 of the Heroes (Avian, Burstinatrix, and Clayman) fall into the category mentioned on Backup Soldier.

• This card can recycle 3 "Volcanic Rat" for another use of "Blaze Accelerator"/"Tri-Blaze Accelerator".

• This card can provide the monsters necessary to summon Montage Dragon.

• Remember that this card states non-Effect ; not Normal. This means that you could return Ritual, Fusion or Synchro monsters that have no /Effect written, in addition to Normal Monsters (which include Tuner monsters cards with yellow background, such as "Genex Controller").

• Use this card with Geminis to add "Blazewing Butterfly" or "Gemini Soldier" to your hand.

• This card goes well with "Elemental Absorber" in a Gemini Deck because they cover all the attributes and many of them have 1500 ATK.

• Get back up to 3 monsters you just sent to graveyard with "Card Destruction" for a little card advantage.

• Use this card to prepare for effects that need to send cards/monster from the hand to the graveyard as a cost (like "Lightning Vortex").

• This card can be useful in a Mask deck by returning "Melchid the Four-Face Beast" and/or "Grand Tiki Elder" back to your hand that were tributed to summon "Masked Beast Des Gardius" or so they can be tributed to summon one.

• Use this card to bring back monsters with high defense since they generally have low attack, such as "Mystical Elf" and "Millennium Shield".

• Use this card to bring three Dark monsters to your hand to discard for "Dark Crusader".
