- This card can be searched by "Lancea, Dragonic Ancestor of the Ice Spirit Mountain", "Medallion of the Ice Barrier", "Mirror Magic Master of the Ice Barrier", "Shock Troops of the Ice Barrier", "Ice Barrier", "Crystal Girl", "Mega Fortress Whale", "Dragodies, the Empowered Warrior", "The Legendary Fisherman II", "Infernoble Knight Captain Roland", "Wake Up Your Elemental HERO", "Iron Knight", "Additional Mirror Level 7", and other generic searchers.
- This card can be Tribute Summoned with one Tribute using "Unshaven Angler" and "The First Monarch".
- Don't hesitate to Normal Summon this card by tributing a strong Ice Barrier monster, like "General Raiho" and "Dai-sojo of the Ice Barrier", for example, since you will be able to Special Summon one of them during the End Phase.
- Combine this card with "Sealing Ceremony of Suiton", by discarding an Ice Barrier Monster, that will be able to be Special Summoned during your End Phase.
- Combine this card with "Strategist of the Ice Barrier": activate its effect and discard a strong Ice Barrier monster, like "General Grunard" or a field-blocking one, such as "Defender" or "Cryomancer" and Special Summon the discarded monster during the End Phase.
- Combo this card with "Temple of the Sun" allow other Ice Barrier monster to gain ATK.
- Have this card Special Summon "Cryomancer of the Ice Barrier" on your End Phase, whose effect will stop your opponents' Level 4 or higher monsters from attacking during their turn. Then on your turn tribute Cryomancer for either a Normal or Synchro Summon, then repeat the process all over again.
- Alternatively Special Summon "Defender of the Ice Barrier" in Defense Position to prevent all of your opponents attacks.
- If you have "General Grunard of the Ice Barrier" in your Graveyard, Special Summon it to have up to three summons in your next turn and a lot of attack power.
- You can Special Summon "Prior of the Ice Barrier" to bypass this card's restriction and Summon another copy of this card.
Traditional Format[edit]
- Combine this card with "Card of Safe Return" to draw 1 card each time an Ice Barrier monster is Special Summoned from the Graveyard by this card's effect.* You can send this card to the Graveyard by the effect of "Tidal, Dragon Ruler of Waterfalls" and Special Summon it by the effect of "Prior of the Ice Barrier".
- Alternatively, if you already control this card, you can use the effect of "Tidal" to send an "Ice Barrier" monster from the Deck to the Graveyard in order to Special Summon it during the End Phase.
