Card Tips:Marauding Captain

  • If there are 2 copies of "Marauding Captains" in your hand, both can be Summoned and prevent your opponent from attacking any face-up Warrior-Type monsters.
  • "Marauding Captain" can be equipped with "Heart of Clear Water" to prevent it from being destroyed by battle or effects that target as long as its ATK remains below 1300, thereby protecting your Warrior-Type monsters for longer periods.
  • If "Mist Body" is equip to a "Marauding Captain", your Warrior-Type monsters will be protected through its immunity to battle destruction. This is a good choice to go with if either your other copies of "Marauding Captain" lost earlier on in the Duel, or there is a need to stall.
  • Use this card's effect to Special Summon "Gemini Scorpion" and Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Gemini monster from your hand, allowing yourself to swarm the field.
  • Use this to Special Summon "Exiled Force" and use the effect of "Exiled Force" to rid of your opponent's leading monster.
  • Use this card to Special Summon a Level 3 Tuner monster, then Tribute this card to Special Summon "Turret Warrior" for a Level 8 Synchro Summon.
  • Use this card to Special Summon any Level 3 monster from your hand to quickly Xyz Summon a Rank 3 Xyz Monster like "Grenosaurus".
  • This monster's effect can allow a powerful Level 8 monsters to be Synchro Summoned on your first turn. Summon this card, and bring out a Level 2 Tuner monster, then Synchro Summon "X-Saber Wayne". With the effect of "Wayne", Special Summon a Level 3 Tuner from your hand, such as "Junk Synchron" or "XX-Saber Fulhelmknight". If possible, Synchro Summon again to bring out a powerful monster like "Junk Destroyer" or "Colossal Fighter".
  • Use this to Special Summon "Sacred Crane" in order to trigger its effect.
  • This card works extremely well with "Gallis the Star Beast" by this following combo: Summon this card, then Summon a Level 3 monster from your hand.
    • Then Special Summon "Gallis" by using its effect, and then Xyz Summon "Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity" using any of the two Level 3 monsters that were on the field.
    • Then use the effect of "Zenmaity" to Special Summon "Wind-Up Hunter" and use the effect of "Hunter" to Tribute "Zenmaity" to send 1 card from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard. (Does not discard, so "Dark World" monsters do not get their effects.)
    • Then Xyz Summon another "Zenmaity" using Hunter" and the other Level 3 monster on your field. Then use the effect of "Zenmaity" again to detach "Hunter" to Summon "Wind-Up Rat" in Attack Position.
    • Then use the effect of "Rat" to Special Summon "Hunter". Use the effect of "Hunter" to Tribute "Zenmaity" to send 1 card from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard.
    • Then Xyz Summon another "Zenmaity" using "Hunter" and "Rat".
    • Then use the effect of "Zenmaity" again to detach "Hunter" to Summon "Rat" in Attack Position. Then use the effect of "Rat" to Special Summon "Hunter".
    • Then use the effect of "Hunter" to Tribute "Zenmaity" to send 1 card from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard.
    • Then Xyz Summon a powerful card such as "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon" with your remaining Hunter" and "Rat".
  • Use this card's effect to Summon a Tuner monster, then use the two for a quick Synchro Summon. This is very useful with "Goyo Guardian" as a Level 3 Tuner is simply needed to bring it out. A good Tuner to use this combo with is "Junk Synchron", as it is a Warrior-Type as well, and can fit more easily into a Deck using "Marauding Captain".
