- "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole" works well with "Ultimate Offering".
- If the opponent is Top-Decking, "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole" can create a "Mole Lock". If the opponent Sets a monster, use "Grand Mole" to bounce the Set monster (it won't be flipped face-up) and re-Summon "Grand Mole". If the opponent Summons and attacks "Grand Mole", use its effect, then Summon it the next turn and attack directly.
- Combine this card with "Jinzo" to make sure that "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole" is not impeded by Traps like "Skill Drain". This way, "Jinzo" will be able to attack while "Grand Mole" gets rid of monsters the opponent Sets.
- This card works well with "Effect Veiler". Since monsters like "Scrap Dragon" and "Gravekeeper's Descendant" can't destroy it by battle, if their effects are negated, your opponent will have no choice but to watch "Grand Mole" bounce them.
- Avoid using this card on monsters that the opponent can easily Special Summon again on their turn (e.g. "Guardian of Order", "Judgment Dragon", "Dark Armed Dragon").
- Use this card with "Spring of Rebirth" to gain Life Points to prepare for any damage that might be taken.
- If this card's effect is used on your turn, it can help to have a card such as "Swift Scarecrow" or "Battle Fader" in your hand.
- This card can get rid of monsters that are targeted by "Safe Zone" since its effect does not target.
- If your opponent controls this card, it can be attacked with a card like "Elemental HERO Stratos" to get an extra search.
Countering[edit]
- This monster can only be destroyed with cards like "Sakuretsu Armor", by flipping it face-down, since its effect cannot be used if it is Set, or by destroying it with a Spell or Trap Card, such as "Raigeki Break", or "Mirror Force".
