- This card can be searched by "Infernal Flame Banshee", "Hiita the Fire Channeler", "Link Party", and other generic searchers.
- This card can be Tribute Summoned with one Tribute using "Flame Ruler" and "The First Monarch".
- This card is easily Summoned by Tributing "Flame Tiger" or "Spirit of Flames", or when "The Thing in the Crater" is destroyed.
- Attack a stronger monster with "The Thing in the Crater", then Special Summon this card and run over that monster. You won't trigger the End Phase effect so the damage you take will usually be less than the Normal Summon.
- Tribute Summon this card with one tribute while having "Prime Material Dragon" on your side of the field. That way you will gain 1000 Life Points every End Phase.
- You could also pair it with Black Feather Dragon instead to gain a Black Feather token every turn
